Fallout 3 Nexus launches
If you're going to be playing Fallout 3, hope to mod the game or if you're interested, head on over to the site now for a peek at what's to come. Of course the site is rather bare at the moment, what with the game not actually officially released for a few more hours and the lack of an SDK for the game, but give it some time. Oh, and go make yourself known in the Fallout 3 section of the forums too!
PS. Your TESNexus username and password will work on Fallout 3 Nexus without any problems! So don't register a new account for the site!

I saw Far Cry 2, and I wanted it badly, more so than FO3, but the system requirements were just too high. I need to upgrade my power supply and video card. Fallout 3 was a lot more reasonable, and it plays great as long as I play it in a somewhat low resolution with the extra effects turned off.
On that note, Oblivion works at its highest setting on my computer, no lag, no slowdown. Why must Fallout 3 be more demanding? That, I don't understand. The SDK isn't important to me until I beat the game and run out of stuff to do. If the SDK isn't released by then, I'll be a bit disappointed, but I'll still have other means to edit the game.
I am a fan of Flight simulator however (God forbid!) and I also understand that you have a life but I see so many games like that (and of different genres) that have such a great modding potential, without great modding sites to do them justice.
I mean, TES Nexus is a marvel because it's free and it offers this kind of quality and reliability. So, I would just like to see it go further. Of course, it may be too much for you to handle without sitting in front of a computer screen all day but just let us know your views n' stuff. =]
I've pre-ordered the Collector's Edition of FO3, so after playing it through you may see me doing some modding for it since I've already pulled out of Oblivion modding altogether.
As for the uncertainty of an SDK, I'm pretty sure I could pull off some mods with user made tools as well if it comes to that.
Well, I guess I'll have to give FO3 a try. It might be a blessing in disguise that there's no SDK for it as yet. It'll force people to run through the vanilla game at least once as they intended it. Maybe that's their thinking on this one.
