Scheduled site downtime

  • Comment
TESNexus has scheduled down-time starting at 2AM CDT (8PM GMT) on the 17th of October 2008 for four hours, although ideally this down-time should last no longer than an hour. This is so the server memory capacity can be doubled to 8GB...you guys sure like to guzzle up the server's resources!

During this time both TESNexus and The Nexus Forums will be unavailable.

Thank you for your understanding.

Copy and Paste, no I am most serious about that one...that is what is so scary....look at my pic, and yes that is really me. These guys are 20+ years my junior:

If an old fart like me can learn, there is hope for everyone....but some are just resistant to change. Sad and scary, you need to grow and adapt or you stagnate and die.

The problems with computers, is most only know where the on button is, and they have to check the manual to find it.

If there is something they don't understand they ignore it, as it must be a computer/internet issue.

One better, some of the high speed internet techs where I work, don't understand or trust copy and paste. Now that is just scary isn't it.

Do Americans associate memory with hard-drive space?

Apparently, but not IT professionals. (Seriously, it's a very common misconception over here.)

I was gonna say, only 8 gigs of hard drive space wouldn't be much. I've already modified my data folder to be over 15 gigs, mostly from Tesnexus.

Site rules, thanks for all the hard work.

That is the ram on the server. Bandwidth usage is about 19 to 20 terabytes a month.
