Permissions and credits
Name: DeFemme Armor Replacer
Version: 1.0
Date: 1/22/2010
Category: Models and Textures
Requirements: Tribunal &/or Bloodmoon &/or LeFemme.esp
Author: Alaisiagae

Description
===========
Replaces all female-specific armor meshes and icons with the regular "male" meshes and icons.

Details
=======
After seeing the impressive armor on those Skaal honor guards, you finally scrounge the pieces to your own Nordic Mail set... only to discover your helmet and cuirass look whimpy! You run to Fort Frostmoth to report this to the Imperial Legion, only to discover that Severia's cuirass looks like she tied a dead cat to her butt.

This mod replaces all the female armor meshes - groin, greaves, cuirass, and helmets (where applicable) - with the "male" (regular) meshes. Additionally, it replaces any of the female icons for these armor pieces with the regular icons. No more magically gender-changing armor!

- if you are bothered by magically changing bust and groin sizes, then this mod probably won't appeal to you. Don't compain if you don't like the mod - no one is forcing you to download it.

- does not require an .esp

- Affects the following (and in the following expansions/plugins):
-- Bear and Snow Bear cuirasses (Bloodmoon)
-- Wolf and Snow Wolf cuirasses (Bloodmoon)
-- Ice armor cuirass, greaves, and helm (Bloodmoon)
-- Nordic Mail cuirass, greaves, pauldrons, and helm (Bloodmoon)
-- Steel cuirass (Tribunal & LeFemme DLC)
-- Netch cuirass (Tribunal & LeFemme DLC)
-- Imperial cuirass (Tribunal & LeFemme DLC)
-- Imperial Chain cuirass (Tribunal & LeFemme DLC)

This mod includes the Imperial Steel Cuirass Fix by quorn. The Imperial cuirass was meant to have this nifty belt, but the mesh was not skinned properly, so you don't see this in-game. Quorn fixed the mesh, and, it being the "male" mesh, I used it for the "female" imperial cuirass mesh. The icon for the Imperial Steel cuirass has been updated (by me) to show the belt.

Install
=======
1. Extract the files to a temporary location.
2. Examine the folder structure and make corrections where necessary.
3. Copy files to (install folder)\Morrowind\Data Files\
4. Start Morrowind and play.

I) If you have just Morrowind, you don't need this mod.

II) If you have the LeFemme Official DLC AND/OR Tribunal installed, then use only the following:
* Meshes\a\a_imperial_c_female.nif
* Meshes\a\a_imperial_skins.nif - this is the "male" fixed cuirass
* Meshes\a\a_imperialchain_c_female.nif
* Meshes\a\a_steel_cuir_female.nif
* Meshes\a\a_netch_f_cuirass.nif
* Icons\a\tx_imperial_curaiss.dds - it is supposed to be misspelled because the original icon name is also spelled wrong.

- you may delete the other meshes and icons in this mod because they pertain to Bloodmoon meshes and icons.

III) If you have Bloodmoon, you'll need everything in this mod. I think. I'm not sure if you need the meshes listed in the "II" instructions.

IV) If you have Bloodmoon and Tribunal and/or the LeFemme DLC, then you'll need everything.

V) If you are still baffled by these instructions, and aren't sure what to do, just put everything in this mod into your data files folder, nothing bad should happen even if you don't have Bloodmoon.

VI) If you know what you are doing, you can pick and choose which female versions you still want in your game by deleting the "female" meshes provided in this mod.

Upgrade
=======
1. Uninstall the old mod.
2. Install the new mod.
3. Start Morrowind and play. There should be no effect on saved games and should not corrupt any saves.

Incompatibility
===============
This mod will conflict with another mod that changes the same meshes and icons listed in the "Uninstall" section of this readme.

This mod will NOT conflict with a texture replacer.

This mod will likely not conflict with a mod that changes the armor stats/properties of the armor pieces replaced by this mod.

Known Issues or Bugs
====================
Other than your female character's chest being a bit flatter and possibly her groin region looking a little bulky, I don't think there will be any bugs or issues that interfere with gameplay.

If there are any bugs or issues, please let me know.

Licensing/Legal
===============
You can do whatever you want with this mod but all I ask in return is that you give me credit if you distribute any part of this mod. Also credit quorn for his fix of the Imperial Steel Cuirass if you use that mesh.

Really, it is quite easy to do what I did - just grab and rename the meshes from the Tribunal.bsa and Bloodmoon.bsa files. No need to credit me if you do that yourself. :) But, if you use the new icon I made, please credit me.
