Excellent mod. This plastic glow was really irritating, making some of armory and clothes look just bad. A bit shame atteSmythe deleted his account, but I'm glad his work is preserved.
Tried using it with OpenMW 0.48, and it ended up causing a TON of stutter in my game. Removing the mod instantly fixed the stutter issue, so it's kind of pretty clear that's what was causing it.
Like I said, tested it with the mod enabled and then disabled. Stuttered with the mod enabled, did not stutter with it disabled. I went back and forth several times to get consistent results.
Fair enough, apologize about my wording above - I do know that things can tip the scales with performance - it's usually script mods but this mod has some options that might cause an issue perhaps - I used the static glow.
I use OpenMW 0.48 Release and have just tested the performance when having the mages robe mod plus this mod (faint option) and mages robe without this mod and I see no stuttering or noticeable performance difference between the two.
Could you provide an explanation of what the difference is between the different versions? I find the pictures very vage, as they are not animated. Does the fade work like in Oblivion where it glows when drawn and then fades? Or is it pulsing?
Sooo not sure if im missing something here but there is no "fade" folder. Only static and faint? Faint, static, textures, and the read me is all i have when i download this. Where is the fade option EDIT: It showed up when i downloaded the mod manually
Using this mod with OpenMW + Morrowind Rebirth. Oddly it works with just openMW, but then I applied Rebirth, it broke a few mods along with this one. Thankfully I worked around it by installing those mods into Rebirth's data, but oddly it didn't work for this one. This mod creates an entirely new file path, so I'm a bit puzzled that Rebirth is simply preventing it from functioning.
UPDATE 1/15/21: It seems I was mistaken. All three versions of the mod do in fact work with openMW + Rebirth. When I initially loaded up the mod using the "Faint" textures, the glow was so subtle and subdued I hardly even saw it, but after installing Rebirth the glow seemed back to its old obnoxious self. Unless another mod is interfering in some way, everything seems fine now. For the openMW + Rebirth users: install this mod in Rebirth's Data Files AFTER loading up Rebirth; it should not ask for overwrites of any kind.
I use OpenMW and this mod works fine. Even if you don't like mods that changes original style I guess you must install this mod coz vanilla enchantment glow looks like a plastic. Thx

Not very helpful but there you are.
Cheers
There was no merging required,an no in the magicitem folder there are separate .dds and .TGA files. Either way it works. Thank you, great mod
Works fine with Vortex and OpenMW.
