About this mod

A Player Home for the Nerevarine on the cheap

Balmora on the Cheap
Easy Living in Balmora is a simple pet project of mine to create a fair, (almost completely) lore-friendly player home located in one of my favorite cities to serve as a place for a poor, low-level player character to call home. It contains no overpowered spells or enchantments. No godweapons descended from the sky. Almost every single item inside will sell for less than 50 gold. It's just a place to call home while you're still trying to get a foothold in Morrowind and a place to relax in while you're trying to do whatever fetchquest your Guild of choice has sent you out on.

The home itself is a (hopefully) cozy but rundown little shack long abandoned by its original owner, who to be frank left it a mess and it's probably for the best if you don't know the full details of what has happened in the house.

Messy Easy Living?

Messy Easy Living is a more up-to-date version of the house. Shortly after posting I realized there were several areas of the building I felt weren't adding to the overall mood. This is how I first envisioned the house, however both Easy Living and Darker Easy Living will remain for any who wish to download them. Messy Easy Living will be the version I continue to update.

Location

The shack (Easy Living) is located in the "residential" district of Balmora. That is, the side Caius Cosades lives on. It can be found right next to the Eastern Guard Tower.

What's next?
Probably nothing. If the demand is high enough and I end up with a couple of weekends to kill I may implement a system where the player character has to buy a key to be able to enter Easy Living to add to the immersion and try to keep the mod balanced, but that's unlikely to be implemented. The mod, as is, is entirely finished and the most I will be adding to it in the foreseeable future is bugfixes.

Did someone mention secrets?

There's an iron dagger under the right pillow on the bed
If you stand near the door and use a telekinesis spell you should be able to pick up a simple long bow from underneath the bed (NOTE: I have not tested this myself yet, however I can highlight it with the console)
If you pick up all the books underneath the bed and stand near the hanging tapestry crouching it should reveal a dwemmer cog underneath the bed which you can pick up with a telekinesis spell.
There's a book which fell down the top rightmost corner of the bed, it should be fairly obvious just by standing where the iron dagger is and looking down.

Reading this ruined the surprise, sorry.
