About this mod

This mod improves the Talos Cult shrine in the Gnisis legion barracks with stuff from Tamriel_Data and a little extra in an attempt to give a more interesting depiction of the cult.

Requirements
Permissions and credits

EDIT 2020: Gavrilo93
has done a wonderful adaption of this mod to work without Tamriel_Data. I recommend you to try his Talos Cult Revised or The Talos Cult Conspiracy (with additional quests, even better!).

-----------------------------

A small mod to improve vanilla's dull Talos Cult shrine in Gnisis with stuff from Tamriel_Data and a little extra. 108% lore-friendly, if you like. All credits and kudos go to the outstanding Tamriel Rebuilt - especially Rats who wrote about the Talos Cult - and Turelek who allowed me to use his Diadochi helmet

Important Note:

  • Tamriel_Data is required to play this plugin!
  • Make sure that you have Tamriel_Data.esm activated and all .bsa archives properly registered.

En détail:

The imperial stone altar was replaced by an improvisational wooden table serving as altar. The mix of styles (Imperial/Redoran) was inelegant in the first place and it's also more fitting for a secretive mystery cult within the Legion not to have an exact copy of the Imperial Cult shrine. The Talos Cult is fleshed out a bit more, there's a special tapestry from TR, some clutter and a small lore book collection about Tiberius Imperator. Additionally, an unique Talosian Steel Helmet is placed on the shrine, perhaps some glorious relic from the days of the Red Legions (the values are slightly better than a templar helmet).

General Darius' quest was left untouched except for one detail: I've relocated the casket with the conspiracy note from the middle of the altar to a shelf and sealed it with a 70 lock. A hidden key has been added to the room (not unfairly difficult to find), but not to display a plot to murder the Emperor in plain sight sounds like a reasonable minimum to me.

Have fun! :)
