!!!!!!!!!! Important Update !!!!!!!!!!!!

I will no longer be updating or maintaining this mod as I am now using the Solstheim Overhaul Pack Project (https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/44933/?tab=description), a modular compatibility pack for STOTSP by the brilliant abot - I encourage you to have a look at it and see if it suits your needs.

I will leave this mod available for those that would like to use it.

Cheers,

**** STOTSP - White Wolf of Lokken Compatibility v1.0 ****

-----------
Description
-----------

Solstheim Tomb of the Snow Prince is a brilliant overhaul of Solstheim, however there are reported major incompatibilities with White Wolf of Lokken - primarily large parts of Lokken island are missing. I always use White Wolf of Lokken in my playthroughs but also wanted to use STOTSP, and when I couldn't find a patch to let me play these together I set out to create my own.

------------
Mod Overview
------------

!!!! Important !!!! - the changes I have made for compatibility are only for BT_Whitewolf_2_0.esm, not BT_Whitewolf_2_0.esp. I don't use the esp and unless there is high demand for it I don't plan on making the esp compatible. Having said that, the changes I have made are relatively minor and explained below, so it should be easy for someone to apply these changes to the esp if they wish.

The only compatibility information I have found is the following guide at the Modding in Morrowind website:

https://moddinginmorrowind.wordpress.com/2014/08/23/lokken-and-tomb-of-the-snow-prince-compatibility-guide/

That guide suggests editing both mods to remove a number of landscape cells to provide compatibility. Ideally I wanted to make as few changes as possible to the original mods, so after a bit of poking around I found that loading BT_Whitewolf_2_0.esm AFTER wl_SolstheimOverhaul_v1.esm resolves the missing landscape issues - by default (even using MLOX) BT_Whitewolf_2_0.esm loads BEFORE wl_SolstheimOverhaul_v1.esm. This solves the major compatibility problem.

However, by doing this landscape tears and associated floating objects appear in a section of the northern shore of Solstheim. By editing BT_Whitewolf_2_0.esm in Enchanted Editor and removing a single landscape cell (-18, 24) this issue is resolved.

However, doing this created an underwater landscape tear between Solstheim and Lokken. I didn't want to make any further changes to the BT_Whitewolf_2_0.esm, so I created a Lokken-STOTSP Patch.esp. In this patch I smoothed the landscape to close the tear - this fixed that issue, however there are several landscape texture mismatches that I am unsure how to resolve. Most of these are underwater and not all that noticeable, however where possible the ones on land have been disguised to an extent by the relocation of a few rocks. The most obvious is a snow mismatch that runs for a distance near the north shore of Solstheim.

In summary this compatibility patch consists of two mods - an edited version of BT_Whitewolf_2_0.esm only (you will need the original mod assets by Emma, which you can download from here: http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/27306 ), and my Lokken-STOTSP Patch.esp

------------
Requirements
------------

This modd requires:

- Morrowind, Tribunal and Bloodmoon (I won't be making a version that doesn't require Tribunal, sorry)

- Solsteim Tomb of the Snow Prince by wollibeebee (http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/42979/? )

- White Wolf of Lokken by Emma (http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/27306 )

------------
Installation
------------

Replace the original BT_Whitewolf_2_0.esm in your load order with the edited version in this archive, and ensure it loads AFTER wl_SolstheimOverhaul_v1.esm. Also install the Lokken-STOTSP Patch.esp

--------------
Uninstallation
--------------

Replace the edited version of BT_Whitewolf_2_0.esm in your load order with the original BT_Whitewolf_2_0.esm from Emma, and remove the Lokken-STOTSP Patch.esp.

------------
Known Issues
------------

The only issues I'm aware of are the landscape texture mismatches detailed in the Mod Overview section above. If anyone has any suggestions on how to tidy these up please let me know.

----------
Load Order
----------

BT_Whitewolf_2_0.esm should load AFTER wl_SolstheimOverhaul_v1.esm. Lokken-STOTSP Patch.esp can go pretty much anywhere (I have it late in my load order, but before mods such as NoM).

----------
Disclaimer
----------

I'm not a modder, just a fan who wanted to get these two mods playing nice together in my game, so there may be issues I haven't addressed. If you find something that isn't correct please let me know, and I'll endeavor to fix it when I have the chance. This applies only to my landscape and static edits and not to White Wolf of Lokken functionality.

This mod is not perfect (I'm looking at you, landscape texture mismatches!), however I'm happy with how it turned out and it allows me to play both mods with only a few relatively inconspicuous cosmetic compatibility issues.

This mod works for me and my load order, however YMMV. I don't see why it shouldn't work for others.

This was originally made for personal use, however on the off chance that someone may find this useful in their game I have made this publicly available with the blessing of wollibeebee (STOTSP) and with the kind permission of Emma (Lokken).
