The main purpose of this mod is to provide splash screens designed to feature fan art while loading, but also includes a title screen and menu text for a somewhat consistent look.
I made the title screen and menu text. The art featured in the center is by other artists.
Currently, I only have work from Alexey Rudikov, but will update when I contact and receive permission from others. Please do not use the artwork in other releases without obtaining permission first from the appropriate sources. The mod features 12 total splash screens sourced from 4 works, I intend to add more, and I'll include some of the resources I made to add your own art.
The primary release will focus on delivering quality up to 4K resolutions with a 16:9 aspect ratio, so the file size is large: 4096x2048 dds menu and tga splash screens. I will also include a half size version that should be very similar in quality for 1920x1080 resolution : 2048x1024 dds/tga. (Powers of 2 are necessary for dds and the tga splash)
Note that the images have been stretched to meet the requirements of the dds and tga file resolution and they will be resized by the Morrowind engine to appear correctly for a 16:9 aspect ratio.
Requirements
Since this is intended for higher resolutions, it would be assumed you have already installed the Morrowind Code Patch, but if not it would necessary.
Bugs
Currently with the Morrowind Graphics Extender (MGE) and (MGE:XE) splash screens will sometimes be offset a pixel down and right (creating a solid line to the top and left), I do not know how to resolve this.
