Improved Kwama Eggs and Egg Sacs
a TESIII: Morrowind Mod by Pherim
Description This is a replacer for the meshes and textures of the kwama egg ingredients and the kwama egg sacs. The meshes are smoother and more detailed and the textures have a higher resolution than the originals. Furthermore, the egg sacs come with an optional pulsing animation, which makes them appear alive. Both the eggs and the egg sacs are also available with bump-mapped textures. An empty egg sac mesh for Graphic herbalism is also included.
For Graphic Herbalism - MWSE and OpenMW Edition (recommended) use the compatible meshes from its optional file "GH Patches and Replacers". Install this mod first and overwrite with the corresponding mesh(es). You don't need to install the meshes for the old "Graphic Herbalism" included in this mod! Installation: There are several possible ways to install this mod:
If you only want the improved meshes and textures, simply extract the contents of the "00-Data Files" folder into the "Data Files" folder of your Morrowind installation and overwrite existing files. This folder is always necessary, no matter which of the other options you want to use.
If you want bump-maps on both the eggs and the egg sacks, copy the contents of the "01-bump-maps" folder into the "Data Files" folder of your Morrowind installation and overwrite existing files, including those you already installed from this mod. You'll need the Morrowind Code Patch with the Bump-Mapping-Option enabled for this to work.
If you want the egg sac with the pulsing animation, but WITHOUT bump maps, copy the contents of the "02-Pulsing Animation" folder into the "Data Files" folder of your Morrowind installation and overwrite existing files, including those you already installed from this mod.
If you want the pulsing egg sac with bump maps, do the same with the "03-Pulsing Animation Bump-mapped" folder instead.
If you use Graphic herbalism you also need the mesh from the "04-Graphic herbalism" folder. There is no animated version of this because I think it makes sense that empty sacs stop pulsing.
Installation with BAIN via Wrye Mash is recommended. Version History:
