Jerry the Skeleton 0.3 by Salaa

What It Does
========

This mod adds a skeleton companion named Jerry, with has options to make him follow you, make him wait, make him immortal/mortal, and dismiss him. If you have Tribunal, you can also access his inventory.

Jerry can be found in the basement of the Balmora Mages Guild. Talk to him and you should get a topic called "instruct Jerry". If you don't, try exiting the conversation and doing it again. This will give you the follower options for Jerry.

When you dismiss Jerry, he will return to the Mages Guild. You can go back and get him again at any time.

Jerry will also give you a magic skull which can be used to calm him down if he gets in a fight with someone you like. If you lose the skull, dismiss Jerry and find him again at the Mages Guild to get a new one.

Installation
========

Before you start, save the game in a location that is NOT the Balmora Mages Guild.

If you don't have a previous version installed: Just put the .esp file in the Morrowind/Data Files folder, and make sure it's checked when you load the game.

If you do have a previous version installed: Take everything valuable from Jerry and dismiss him. Then follow the instructions above and allow the new version to overwrite the old version.

Compatibility
========

This mod may or may not conflict with mods that alter the location "Balmora, Guild of Mages."

In the unlikely event that another mod exists with object ID ckj_jerry, script id ckj_jerryscript, or dialogue topic "instruct Jerry", this mod will conflict with that.

If you have pluginless replacers for the vanilla skeleton meshes or textures, they will affect Jerry. Other mods that affect skeletons will probably not affect him.

If you have mods which allow teleportation, check their readme should tell you if they work with companions/followers.

This mod was created using GMST Vaccine, so it shouldn't be dirty with GMSTs.

Troubleshooting
========

Q. Jerry doesn't show up in my game.
A. There are several potential causes for this:
- The mod is not installed properly. Please double-check to make sure you've followed the instructions correctly.
- Another mod is installed which conflicts with this mod. Please check the "Compatibility" section to ensure that this s not the case.

Q. Jerry is supposed to be immortal but he died.
A. Immortal!Jerry can still die if he takes more than 700 points of damage at once. This is because Morrowind doesn't have a built-in way to make characters immortal, and I had to improvise. If he dies:
- Take everything valuable out of his inventory.
- Open the console with the tilde key (this one: ~ )
- Click on Jerry.
- Type "resurrect" and hit enter.
- Close the console again with the tilde key.
- You might have to talk to Jerry again before he'll follow you.

Q. I travelled/teleported and Jerry didn't follow me.
A. Some methods of teleportation do not support followers. There is nothing I can do about this on my end.

Changelog
========

0.3 - Jerry now uses a version of Grumpy's companion script to teleport to you if he gets too far away. Also added the magic skull thing.

0.2 - Immortal!Jerry now effectively immortal. Previously, he could be killed by doing more than 25 points of damage at once. He can still be killed if he takes 700 points of damage at once.
