About this mod

Simple random character generator for TES games

Permissions and credits
I know we all had trouble coming up with characters for our RPGs at some point, so I made this program for a school project.

This is a simple yet capable random character generator for Skyrim, Oblivion and Morrowind. It generates random attributes such as name, age, class, titles and more. If you don't want to generate a certain aspect, you can simply untick it. You can also choose if your character is a 'Dovahkiin' or a Vampire or a Werewolf.

There are exactly 500 race-neutral names for each gender with last names so there are over 250'000 possible combinations of characters just by names alone. With everything in consideration, I calculated that there are at /least/ 92,874,600,000,000,000 possible characters. Then again, I'm not the best at maths so take it with a pinch of salt.

If you generated a character you're actually happy with, you can export it as a .txt file to keep reference or perhaps share.

Since this is a school project, I had time constraints and other commitments to work with. The program is very stable and lightweight and ready for prototype. I made it during July-August 2013, but on 8th February 2014, I finally decided to put it on the Nexus.

This version is the prototype build for my IT class and I told myself I'll smooth the rough edges eventually in my own free time. As I look at the program today, I still notice a few minor bugs and redundancies, but you shouldn't notice them unless you take the time to try everything.

Due to limitations and other factors, its obvious I can't generate the character's looks on a GUI, but that's the fun part. You can just simply imagine what your character would look like.

Sometime today or tomorrow, I'll release a refined 2014 exe with fixed bugs and extra names.

This program was created with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Express
Personal use is free, but if you put it up on other sites, I'd prefer you message or link me about it first.
