1-Description
I have found a way to use a Xbox 360 Gamepad for Morrowind on many blogs. It is not the same as on Xbox. To activate things in menus press RT. And you will only get 3-4/7-8 quick keys (Depending on your controller). If you want to use Morrowind Enhanced with its Blocking Enhanced that will add a button/key to be able to block with a shield then use the Morrowind (Better Blocking)/Morrowind (Better Blocking & Better Running) controls and make sure in the Morrowind Enhanced menu the Block Key is C. If you want to have a blocking button feature but don't want to use MWE then you can use Morrowind Better Blocking but this will require MWSE. If you want to use Morrowind Better Running mod that will add the ability to only run for a short time until your fatigue is at 0 then use the Morrowind (Better Blocking & Better Running) controls. It does not require Morrowind Enhanced or Morrowind Better Blocking but without it the LT button will be useless. The Morrowind (Better Blocking & Better Running) controls is set up more like the Skyrim controls on Xbox 360. The Morrowind (Better Blocking) controls is set up more like the Oblivion controls on Xbox 360 and the Morrowind controls is set up more like Morrowind in the Xbox/Xbox 360. You can use a Xbox 360 or Xbox One Gamepad. With the Pinnacle setup you can record videos and take screenshots with Fraps and use the Steam Overlay in Steam Big Picture mode. You Don't Need the Steam version of the game. The Retail version will work with the Pinnacle setup. I advise all to download Pinnacle and try out the controls with Pinnacle Gamer Profiler since Pinnacle is the best program out of JoyToKey/ControlMK and Xpadder. JoyToKey and ControlMK setup works but doesn't have the special features and the only pro of it is that its free. Xpadder is a great program but limited to its special features when it comes to Steam Overlay since in the Pinnacle version I was able to program the controls to disable itself in the Steam Overlay in Big Picture so that when your browsing the Steam Overlay menu you wont move your character in the game or activate a item in the game. If you wish to use a Xbox One Gamepad but you own a Xbox One Wired Controller and you don't own a Xbox One Wired Controller + Cable for Windows don't worry! You don't need to buy the Xbox One Wired Controller + Cable for Windows. All you need to get is a micro USB cable and if the micro USB cable is too short buy a USB extension cable. If you use a wireless headset and want to be able to switch from your headset playing the sound to your PC Speakers you can also download AudioSwitch program and create a Hotkey that will PreviousPlayBackDevice by pressing LWin + A. By using Audio Switch you can double tap the back button to switch your Speaker output but this function is only available with the Pinnacle version and may only work when the Steam Overlay is opened. And if you play Oblivion also look at my Oblivion Xbox 360 Gamepad. And if you play Skyrim check out my Skyrim Xbox 360 Gamepad UI. And if you play Elder Scrolls Online also look at my Online Xbox One Gamepad. Here are the three ways you can choose to do this and their differences.

Install the software that comes with your controller first. Then go into to Bethesda Softworks/Morrowind and open the Morrowind configuration. Scroll down until you find

Joystick Look Up/Down=6
Joystick Look Left/Right=3

Change it to

Joystick Look Up/Down=0
Joystick Look Left/Right=0

Then download JoyToKey & ControlMK or Xpadder or Pinnacle. Then download the files here and put the cfg. file in the JoyToKey folder. Then install ControlMK and put the pro. file into the ControlMK folder. Put the three folders from the Xpadder folder into you Xpadder root folder. For Pinnacle download the file and import the Profile that matches your controller description. If you want to use Blocking (Optional) click on the links above and install Morrowind Enhanced and Blocking Enhanced or Better Blocking. Once thats done launch Morrowind Enhanced and set the Block Key to C. If you want to use Better Running click on the link and install the plug-in. If your running Morrowind in Compatibility Mode under Windows XP you must run Pinnacle, Xpadder, JoyToKey, and ControlMK in compatibility mode under Windows XP. Also if Morrowind is ran as an administrator you will most likely run Pinnacle, Xpadder, JoyToKey, and ControlMK as an administrator. If your using fraps install fraps if you haven't yet and make sure the hoykeys are the same as the Fraps Functions list above the requirements. And you may need to run Fraps in compatibility mode. To disable the Xbox 360 popup window when you press the Xbox Guide Button press the Windows Key + R and type msconfig. Then go to Startup and right click on XboxStat.exe and disable it. If your using the Pinnacle version make sure you change the Toggle POV control in Morrowind from Tab to F8.

5-Running
Then run ControlMK if you got it. In ControlMK select the Xbox 360 or Xbon One gamepad in Controllers Found, Then in activate controllers select the Xbox 360 or Xbox One Gamepad. Then it should say under it Morrowind. If not select profiles and then select Morrowind. Then run JoyToKey if you got it and you should see Morrowind or Morrowind (Better Blocking) or Morrowind (Better Blocking & Better Running) on the right side of the window. Then go to Options->Configure->2. Advance Settings For Each Device and make sure the controller is the controller you are using. Click on it. To Run Xpadder if you got it get it setup then run the program and then click on the controller icon on the top left and open Xbox 360 or Xbox One. Then click on the top center paper icon and open Morrowind or Morrowind (Better Blocking) or Morrowind (Better Blocking & Better Running). To run Pinnacle profile make sure that you attach the Morrowind.exe with the profile and if you have a retail copy of Morrowind add the Morrowind.exe into Steam as a non-steam game and from there when you launch the game through steam it will automatically load the profile for the game. You must run Steam in Big Picture mode to get the Steam Overlay.

6-Adjust Settings
You may need to Adjust the Vertical and Horizontal Sensitivity in Morrowind options.

7-Playing Morrowind On A TV
If you want go Here to find out how to play Morrowind on your TV. (WARNING: If you have a small TV, older TV, or you sit far away from the TV you may need to set the font to 640x480-1280x720 for Morrowind resolution so you are able to read the font on the screen. To help make the font clearer in Morrowind download the Better Dialogue Font & Bigger Vanilla Font)
