About this mod

Small Morrowind home conveniently located under the siltstrider port in Balmora. Balanced for beginning level characters, without being an ugly little shack. ;-)

PRP's Balmora Siltstrider Home
Version 4.0

Original Creation Date: Sometime in 2002
Requirements: Morrowind (not dependant on any expansion packs)
Location of Home: Under the siltstrider port in Balmora

About this Mod:
This is the base house mod that I created back in my Morrowind playing days. I'm happy to say that it was a relatively popular mod with the Morrowind Summit community back in the day. I had a lot of great feedback from people and based on their suggestions, it evolved to this 4th version. Since TES Nexus is my favorite TES mod site, I finally decided to share it here now. I hope that anyone that is back to playing Morrowind may find it useful and fun to use. It is in a very convenient location, so you can't miss it when you come down the stairs from the siltstrider in Balmora. It is an underground dwelling with Vivec interiors. It contains a lot of empty, non-respawning chests/containers. There are shelves and tables for displaying collected items. You will find a mark amulet and a recall ring and there is also a teleport ring that will bring you back to the house. That ring can be found on the desk in the little alchemy room. This is not some huge, sprawling place, so it is not terribly unbalanced for a beginning player, but it's not some ugly little shack either. ;-) I hope someone will find it to be as useful as I did while playing Morrowind.

Bug Report:
I just tested it (11/21/2007), using a fresh install of Morrowind and detected no problems. The only way there could be any problems with this mod is if someone is using another mod that might be in the same location. If you do encounter any problems, I would greatly appreciate it if you would make a post in the comments area and I will see if I can remedy the problem. Thanks for any feedback that you can give!

Additional Info:
I used this mod so much that I made several expansions for it, that I never uploaded to any TES site, but I've decided to include everything available, here at TES Nexus. One expansion is called PRP's Balmora Siltstrider Home - Enhancements. It adds Weapon Wielding Mannequins to the downstairs display area. It also adds a trap door to Mournhold (which sounds a little nuts, but it was very useful when I was playing Tribunal). This enhancement mod WILL require that one run the Weapon Wielding Mannequins.esp mod and will need to be running Tribunal, as well. I will be uploading this enhancement mod soon, so stay tuned for that one ...

Later I added another mod that adds a HUGE underground display area. I will be testing this one tonight to determine what expansion pack it may be dependant on and will certainly be uploading that one soon, also.

Lastly, I went through a serious Japanese phase and ended up adding yet another huge area that is even further underground. This mod is called PRPs_SiltStrider_Home_V4_JapEnhance.esp. It is literally a little underground Japanese village, that made use of a lot of the awesome Japanese parts from the Japanese house mod that was located near vivec. This mod is approx 15 megs in size. I know that it is dependant on running Tribunal, but I'll test that one tomorrow and see what else may be needed.

As I said, stay tuned for these additions for the Siltstrider home, if you think you might enjoy addons to the house. :-)

Installation:

PRP'S SILTSTRIDER HOME - ENHANCEMENTS README

PRP's Balmora Siltstrider Home - Enhancements
for PRP's Balmora Siltstrider Home Version 4.0

Original Creation Date: Sometime in 2003

Requirements: Morrowind, PRPs_SiltStrider_Home_V4, Weapon_Wielding_Mannequins, and Tribunal

Location: Enhancements to the Balmora Siltstrider Home, which is found under the siltstrider port.

About this Mod:
This is an expansion that is to be used with the PRPs_SiltStrider_Home_V4. That mod should be downloaded from here: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13974 (Check out the description for that mod to fully appreciate what that mod is all about.)

This little enhancement mod adds 8 mannequins to the downstairs display area. It also adds a trap door at the end of the display area, which will take the player to Mournhold. This makes it fairly obvious that one will need to be running the Tribunal expansion pack for this to work. It also means that for the mannequins to show up, one will need to install the Weapon_Wielding_mannequins mod, which I have included within my mod's .zip file.

The mannequin mod is an absolute necessity for Morrowind gameplay, anyway. It allows one to purchase mannequins, so you can buy more and add them to the interior of the Siltstrider home.

Also note that the Weapon_Wielding_Mannequins mod is included in this .zip package, so you will need to uncompress that mod and read the readme file that is included for info about the mod and for installation instructions.
