I found myself lacking of aesthetic sense for really dark skin toned characters when i wanted to make them unique without having to turn paler ones into pseudo darker races (lighter than really dark).

Well, racial difference IS pseudo, and very much so in Tamriel except for beast races. (e.g. Altmer->Chimer->Dunmer)
