These look absolutely amazing, Psi! Wow, wow, and wow!

I really need to get off my black furry tail and get to modding this game. I am so impressed by the images you are putting up here.

FBC! Ya, with your new vcard it would look amazing. The Symphony is much easier to set up than using MGSO which I do NOT recommend. On The Symphony page I wrote an article with detailed install instructions but for you I would provide links for everything else that is not included. It really isn't much and the entire set up could be done in one night. Unlike Skyrim with takes one week!

Great, Psijo I just would like to know if Symphony will be compatible with OpenMW, or will they jump at each other's throats and bite?

Great minds think alike macz! I was just thinking the same thing last night. I don't know. My first thought is, "yes" why shouldn't it? Then again I don't know too much about OpenMW. You are better off asking over at The Symphony page.

      Wishing you much happiness

Yoho, with holidays vol.1 coming in a few weeks it's happiness guaranteed (if I somehow live until then because deadlines are killing me from every side). Thanks Psi
I'll keep my eyes peeled then (phew, I can never get over what 'charming' expressions English language sometimes comes up with) so that I don't miss the moment when both are complete.

Always looking forward to your awesome Morrowind bulletin boards.
      I hope you're happy, too.

That is one of the most confusing parts that foreigners have when trying to understand the English language. Because of adjectives (a word that describes a person, place or thing) and adverbs (a word that describes an action) we can take almost any word and use it to describe any action or thing. It offers an endless well of creativity for poets and writers but offers confusion for the newly initiated.

Keeping your eyes peeled is actually an old expression with a long history.
      http://www.worldwidewords.org/qa/qa-kee1.htm

Now if I put on my English teacher's glasses I would tell you that when you use the expression I 'll keep my eyes peeled then you don't have to include, "so I don't miss..." because keeping your eyes peeled means you won't miss anything. It is like saying , "I am going outside so I will be outside." It is unnecessary because you are repeating yourself in the same sentence. We know you are going to be outside because you already told us that you are going outside. I know you won't miss anything because you told us that your eyes are peeled.

Now with that being said English is a language that was created by stealing all the good words from all the languages before it, like French and Latin (mostly French). Almost every English word can be traced back to another older or ancient European language. And that is one of the reasons it is so successful. It may be the easiest language to learn. Well, American English that is. British or Common Wealth English is a little more formal.

      Ok, test on Thursday

Wow, awesome! It is such a shame Symphony is not modular. I think that most people are put off by the fact that it is total conversion that is pretty distant from vanilla. But these dagoths are really stunning. Btw. that terminator guy is dwemer construct?

It looks like a dwemer construct-esque rmor that's taken on a life of its own. Kind of like the Vashtaneradas of DW :3

      @ PikachunoTM
Yes it is a dwemer. They are not everywhere. This is the only one I have seen but there are many new Dwemer machines. Basically this is BOSS fight. I have encountered a few bosses so far.

      @ reaps
Is it far from vanilla? Ya, it is a brand new game. It is a modern take on the classic game. There are a few old mods that did add androids and then the mod was incorporated into Sobitur Facility. Do you remember that great mod?

Honestly, I am glad it is not modular. The Symphony is an experience and after you play a game with it then you can pick it apart yourself. reaps, there is still so much you are able to add with mods.

THIS IS NOT MORROWIND REBIRTH! This was made to work with all the classic mods. I have not had a problem adding any mods.

Now for expert Morrowinders who have been tinkering with their MW build for years I can understand your hesitation but make a separate install and try it out. For example, all your landscape changes can be ported into The Symphony as landscape was not touched.

You know, I wasn't going to show the Terminator skeleton. There is so much cool stuff that I purposely do not show. Because they are spoilers. Like the Dwemer bot BOSS that I had to fight for the Dragon Bone Armour. That took like 8 hours over 3 days to figure out how to beat. The Symphony is bloody HARD! Daedra are SCARY now. They are very tough to kill. I still have not figured out how to kill a Daedra Lord and they use magic now. A lot of magic. It is a scary place.

I always thought of Morrowind to be a deadly wasteland with danger around every corner... now this is truly a dangerous place. it is not like vanilla where once you reach level 10-15 you become unbeatable. I am level 30 and I die all the time. It is tough to stay alive!

So ya, it is not the classic Morrowind. It is Morrowind on steroids.

With that being said, I am "almost" positive that if you played it and then figured out how to make it modular that HH wouldn't mind at all. However I can't speak for him. Mainly because he speaks Russian That would be a project but I am sure if you wanted to do it he would be ok with it because I believe (don't quote me" everything is usable as a resource. That needs to be confirmed with him though.

      Cheers reaps

Agreed. There are bits and pieces that I like--as you say, those Dagoths are stunning--but I don't want an overhaul of the game. Same reason I don't use Morrowind Rebirth. I like Morrowind the way it is, and things like android skeletons with lasers would be seriously immersion breaking. Plus HH abuses the crap out of glow maps and reflection maps; kinda burns the eyes. :/

After about a month's work of setting up, cleaning, and merging a new MW list, I found myself actually turning off grass and land distance. And oddly enough, something about the unseen horizon, actually "feels" right. Strange how one button made it all feel like it did when I first played it as a teenager. Either way, I've never been a fan of Rebirth or even MGSO. I've tried both, and the thing I took away was the fact it wasn't modular; MGSO annoyed me with its out of place sound files, and Rebirth annoyed me with its needless landscape changes. I'm fine with a tweak here and there for mod's sake, but a complete revamped, I begin to wonder how much of the Morrowind experience is lost. I'm glad to hear Symphony can work with other mods, which already puts it ahead of the other two overhauls. But for me, I'd like to see a modular version. And I'm in the same boat as Zaarin2 about the armor. I'm not a fan of glow maps, or even bump maps. I prefer hi-res static textures, but that's my own preference. I blame the shoddy eyesight. But Symphony is still on my list of things to do, and I might give it a try after my next play through. So keep posting pics reminding why I should try it, Psi

Speaking of a hard experience, I always use Adul's combat mods, such as injury and bleeding effects; getting stat penalities the lower your HP goes really makes spells and combat a real like and death struggle, no matter the difficulty. I also like to further torture myself with the Dreamers Expansion and Tougher Dagoth mod. In my last play through, before it was corrupted, I was roughly lvl 30 and I couldn't even touch Dagoth Gares. But, hey, challenge accepted!

This is not Morrowind Rebirth, it is not MGSO. It is not an overhaul.

The more you compare this to what it is not, the further you become from the truth...

...it is a new game. It is, The Symphony.

      >RE4PER
Symphony is not modular, because it`s the passed stage and mindlessly.
HH've do it earlier, but the high difference between the old and new models is too noticeable.
Also, many of the original models is too awful for normal retexturing of fixing.
      Look Nix Hound for example.
Only the Full rebulding is try way!
      And it`s here.

      >modular...
Yes, if you want it you can do it.
Create separate modules, edit models, textures and etc.
      It`s official HH`s position.
As he wrote, there is a special version for Modmakers.
It is more convenient for work.
Write on the TAL forum`s to get the link.

      >that terminator guy is dwemer construct?
Dwemer`s, Dwemer`s! This Machine which used a Steam-electric power canon.
There is an unique machinery which merge organic with the metal. And you can see it.
Or you do think that for Dwemer it was not possible?
      Or it`s not a LoreFrendly?
All Unique Creatures have Unique history and relation with the Lore.
look closely and you will see it.

      It`s only my opinion.
But I think your Morrowind is dead. Sorry.
Of course, I understand that first impressions of the Game is the strongest,
but can not enter in one river at twice. ((
      Everything flows, everything changes.
If the Game is not growing - game is dead.
If you think that the game is only natives models\textures - game is dead.
If you think that the game World only those ancient models your Morrowind is dead.
If you think that... well, I have too many words, but not here and not now.
The Game needs to live and the Project is a chance to new life for the Games.
Open You MIND and behold the brilliance, of Symphony`s glory!
And don't blind You the effulgence of it Glory!
