Do you have some tips for screenshots? How can I make freecamera movement similar to tfc 1?
Umm... there is no freecamera tfc 1 console command
Taking selfies is a challenge. What you can do instead is: save your game (often) and use the TCL command and fly around like that. But you can't stop the game and use TCL at the same time. Morrowind is an old game and there are engine limitations.
When you see a cool scene take the picture right away and learn how to slow down the movement of the sun. The sun moves fast in morrowind and you can be trying to set up a picture and all of a sudden the sun sets and it becomes dark! It happens often
Ahh... Vanilla steps into Morrowind. I feel like you're sleeping with my ex boyfriend!
Screenshots: Yes, once you set up Morrowind Code Patch you then have the choice of over the shoulder cam or behind the back cam. Choose the one you want. I click all the options except for the language ones (but you may if you play in German) and I don't click on hidden traps or hidden locks.
Next you need to set up mgeXE http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/41102/?
and then go here and get the shaders you want.
MGE XE Shaders - Library and Development
http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1462188-mge-xe-shaders-library-and-development/
So some of the shaders are alreadt in .fx file format and you put them in your shader folder which is data files\shaders
then open the mgeXE gui exe which should be in your morrowind directory where the morrowind exe is and click on it.
On the Graphics Tab you will see a SHADERS button. Click on it.
You will see on top your available shaders and on the bottom your active shaders.
Double click on shaders to add them and remove them .
***The order of the shaders are VERY important. Here is a base order.
SSAO
Underwater Effects
Underwayer Interior Effects (makes underwater realistic but if you want it to be clear then remove this shader)
DoF
Sunshafts
HDR (pick one, you probably don't need to run two)
The general rule of thumb is to keep 6 shaders active but you can have more if you have a good video card which you do. But don't go crazy. Even though Morrowind is an old game, mgeXE is a powerful utility. I have never had more than 7 or 8 active shaders.
When you put new shaders in the shader folder they will appear in the mgeXE available shaders window. If you don't see them then close and restart.
Ok so most of the real good shaders are not in .fx format and post in the thread in code. No worries
Just paste the text into notepad or notepad++ and save as a .fx file. Or go into the shader setup in MGE, then click editor on the top right, and paste whatever text into there. You can then save as an fx file right into MGE XE's shader folder and it'll appear in the list of shaders you can use. If you don't see it in the available shaders window then just restart mgeXE and it will be there.
You have to read the thread and find the right order for each shader configuration. *I can't stress how important this is!*
A good shader to play with is Apel's gamma correction shader. The other shaders are mostly for picture taking. The other one I like is ENBPalette shader because you get to fool around with palettes like you would in a skyrim enb fun fun!
That's all for now. PM me if you need any help
These mgeXE instructions are advanced stuff.
Ignore it for now.
This is just a test run to see if everything is working. Now I am off to play with the shaders, specifically the enbpallet.fx and use my own that I have made for other games and see their effects. Fun fun
