I was wandering around the Fields of Kummu when I stumbled upon the pilgrimage shrine, and was suddenly struck with nostalgia. It was this very spot which, twelve years ago, when my first Morrowind character was nearly killed when something assaulted him from the hills. Morrowind was my first sandbox RPG, so I was pretty paranoid about every corner I turned back then. Compared to the rest of the game, that's a fairly mundane story to tell, but to this day I still remember it. But I find it pretty incredible that certain parts of Morrowind, at least for me, can instantly invoke nostalgia and recall old characters and situations attached to those locations, just as real-life locations can invoke nostalgia over people and places.
