About this image

Sooooo ... this is Morrowind. Well, it doesn't look that bad, for a twelve year old game, does it? ;^)

I am playing Morroblivion in parallel, but I get the feeling that the original will take a longer hold on me. :^)

And it's even better with the Morrowind Overhaul : Sounds & Graphics !
It may be hard to enter the game with this old gameplay and all, but at the end, Morrowind is the best Rpg (in my opinion of course) I have played. it has tons of dialogues, books and quests. Unique landscapes and creatures, a much better UI than Oblivion and a very unique atmosphere Hope you'll keep playing to it, cause it really worth it !

Apart from this I agree completely. I think MGEXE in MGSO helps to improve visuals enormously more than any other mod, I think.

But, the visuals isn't the strength of Morrowind, its so many other things. Story, magic system, enchanting, armor/weapon vereity, combination of leveled and hand placed dungeons allows it to punch above its weight.

      Thank you for your thoughts.

I should clarify, that I had played the GOTY edition, unmodded ( no Internet in my home, back then, I didn't even know what to do with the console ), until there was no stone left unturned. Ah, great times, we were young .

Now I am throwing mods at it like mad . But MGSO is not an option, I'm afraid, since my game is being run by openMW, which really has taken off with the recent version .

This is open Morrowind? So are you able to use mods because this looks like the Epic Balmora mod.

Hi! Yes, this Epic Balmora, and yes, you can use loads of mods, and not only textures and models, but scripts, too, see the by no means complete wiki "Mod status". I have currently about 50 mods - tiny, small and big - running.
