Having a little fun with magic effects !
This screen illustrates a new effect for the Burden spell, inspired by the Gale spell from Shadow Hearts 2 and 3.
My goal was to make the effect persistent, like the Shield spells, to represent a binding magic circle. However, it vanishes after a few seconds, no matter the duration of the spell. Boohoo.

I think you can increase the duration by opening the .nif of the spell in nifskope and increase the length of the spell.
I fiddled a bit in Nifskope, but sadly I didn't find anything. I believe the spells are hard-coded to be displayed a certain way, just one animation for most spells, and a loop for shields; I tried to replace the burden effect with the vanilla Shield effect, and the same thing happened. Maybe I'm missing something though, if I find it, I'll fix it !
Since I received positive comments on the effects I showed so far, I decided to release a temporary version of my project in the next few days instead of waiting for it to be complete, as it would take WAY too much time. I still need to improve the new sound effects though, and tweak one minor thing or two. And try to record a video too, it would show the new spells better then a picture !
It would also be a good opportunity to receive some criticism from everyone to make this project as good as can be !

The magic effects looks cool in morrowind
That looks awesome. It is too bad I just uninstalled my Morrowind. I would have loved to have tried this. That effect looks so cool!!!!!
I had some leftovers from an old, old, old project and I decided to continue it. Playing other games gives me lots of ideas. That's what I tried to reproduce:

As of now, I edited:
- The 3 Elemental Damage/Shields
- Restore Health/Magicka/Fatigue/Attribute/Talent (in red, blue, green and purple)
- Damage Health/Magicka/Fatigue/Attribute/Talent (same colours, with funny little ghosts)
- Charm (big sparkling hearts and flower petals, veeeeeery pink)
- Water Breathing/Walking (the simplest one, just water bubbles)
- Poison (green and purple bubbles and clouds)
