Never played a more beautiful game, it is incredible what you can achieve with mods, though it already has an inherent beauty in its vanilla state that maybe is difficult to appreciate for many people at first. I myself had problems with it at first, too.
It does have an amazing art style and atmosphere. The generational leap in graphics that you get with mods just shows how amazing the modding community is
