Swaps the Metal Gear Solid 1 Snake skin for the Big Boss Ground Zeroes Skin
- Permissions and credits
To install:
1. backup chunk0.dat in your \steamapps\common\MGS_TPP\master\ folder
2. unpack chunk0 using MGSV_QARtool
3. Move the file plparts_mgs1.fpk to the following directory SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\MGS_TPP\master\chunk0\Assets\tpp\pack\player\parts
4. Overwrite the original file when prompted
5. Repak the chunk0 file using QARtool (drag and drop chunk0.inf over QAR_Tool.exe
6. Start the game and select the Classic Solid Snake skin
Caveats:
this file is the original from Ground Zeroes, so Big Boss will not have a robot arm(can't use on the missions in this skin) scars or shrapnel in his head
Manual instructions:
1. Use gztool (for FPK files) and QARtool for the chunk0.dat file
2. Basically go here after extracting these ground zeroes files (you'll have to unpack data_02:
steamapps\common\Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes\data_02\Assets\tpp\pack\player\parts
3. Then extract plparts_sna2_main0_def_v00_fpk using gzstool.exe (drag and drop)
4. Copy the sna2_main0_def files from:
Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes\data_02\Assets\tpp\pack\player\parts\plparts_sna2_main0_def_v00_fpk\Assets\tpp\chara\sna\Scenes
5. Then move them here:
steamapps\common\MGS_TPP\master\chunk0\Assets\tpp\pack\player\parts
6. Next extract this file using gzstool plparts_mgs1.fpk
7. Take the 3 files you copied into this folder, rename them to sna6_main0_def etc..
move them into them into the newly created plpart_mgs1 folder, overwrite the files in the folder and then recompile this FPK using the xml (gztool u ses xml, not inf)
8. Make sure you delete your folders and xml/ files after compiling, once everything is cleaned up, use QARTOOL to recompile your .dat file
make sure you're not using the MGS1 Solid Snake as your character (at the main menu screen) while you're doing this, it will crash. Go into a mission and choose a different skin and exit out first. Also, make sure you have the skin unlocked.
