A collection of Western Medieval helmets from the late period, 1300-1500.

http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,253388.0.html

These are modeled after real Medieval helmets and kept as true to form and shape as I could manage. All were mostly used in Europe during the later medieval period. They go great with any transitional or plate armors.

The texturing/modelling is not the greatest but they are pretty good.

Please leave any feedback you have.

To install the helms into your game do the following:

1- Extract the RAR file into a Module of your choice

2- Be sure the Resources and Textures folders combine with the modules

3- Open the brf file in resources with openBRF

4- open itemskinds1.txt for your module

5- Copy the line for an existing helmet, ex: Great Helm. like you see below

itm_great_helmet Great_Helmet Great_Helmet 1 great_helmet_new 0 2147549196 0 980 704643238 2.750000 100 53 0 0 10 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

6- Go to the bottom of the itemskinds1.txt file and just before the last entry (items_end), paste the copies helmet line.

7- replace great_helmet_new with the name of the new item from the BRF file, ex Lyle Bascinet.

itm_great_helmet Great_Helmet Great_Helmet 1 lyle_bascinet 0 2147549196 0 980 704643238 2.750000 100 53 0 0 10 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

8- Then change name and ID of the item line as well to match your preference, ex:

itm_lyle_bascinet Lyle_Bascinet Lyle_Bascinet 1 lyle_bascinet 0 2147549196 0 980 704643238 2.750000 100 53 0 0 10 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

9- Go back to the top of the document and change the number to reflect the number of items you've added

itemsfile version 3
604 ------- this number

10- Save the file

11- Go to your module.ini file in the modules folder

12- add the line below above the line that says: works_with_version_min = 1000

load_module_resource = 14-15th Century Items

13- Save the module.ini

14- Play the game! (Requires a new save, unless you overwrite existing items)

Feel free to edit and use these items/textures into your games.

Credit is always greatly appreciated. :)
