I also had the same problem with the conflict Biney mentioned between this and the Female Face Model replacer mod: Link
Here's how I fixed it:
Get OpenBRF in order to open the BRF files that you will be editing: Link
Extract the contents from one mod (materials_face_gen.brf and meshes_face_gen.brf) and open one of the two (you will be repeating the next steps for both files).
Depending on which mod it is - the male or the female one - delete the opposite gender's entries. (E.g. if you opened the BRF files from the 'Improved Male Faces' mod, then you want to delete the female entries. Deleting is done by selecting the item in the list and choosing Edit -> Cut from the top toolbar. (Note: I have no idea what those 'Undead' entries are, just count them as male files and leave them there.)
Save the two edited files as whatever you want. E.g. name it 'Materials Male' or 'Meshes Male' if you just edited the male's mod files in order to keep better track of which file is what.
Now repeat the above for the female part (deleting all the male entries for the female face mod) but this time you have to delete all the Acc items from the meshes file too. (It causes CTDs on loading if you leave the Jewellery stuff in there). Now don't save the file just yet though.
Once you're left with only the female stuff in there go to Import -> 'Any from a BRF' from the toolbar and choose the appropiate male file that you edited. Obviously, only import the appropiate type of file: If you've got the Female mod's mesh file open, then only import the new male mesh file that you created.
Repeat this process for both files and save your new merged files as materials_face_gen.brf and meshes_face_gen.brf.
Now on to merge there skins.txt file: Open the skins.txt from the Female replacer mod and copy everything from the starting line with just 'woman 1' up to the end of the big block of text ending in 'Post-Edit'
Aka, this stuff and paste it into the male replacer skins.txt, overwriting the same section of text in there.
Now you just install the mods as normal. Remember to make backups of everything you're overwriting. Don't blame me if you break your game and don't have anything to fall back to!
Browse to Warband -> Modules -> Native (or whatever module you want to edit)
Paste both mod's texture files into the Texture folder (there are no conflicts for these files)
Paste the Male mod's beards.brf, hair.brf and textures_face_gen.brf into the Resource folder
Paste your newly edited/merged materials_face_gen.brf and meshes_face_gen.brf into the Resource folder
Paste your newly edited/merged skins.txt into the Native folder (or whatever module you are using)
Note that the Jewellery extras won't be there since you deleted them to prevent a loading screen CTD. I'm new to modding in Warband so I can't figure out how to solve this problem. Something about the jewellery being considered beards and messing things up.
But at least you can now enjoy the faces of both Improved Male Faces and the Female Face Texture and Model Replacer mod... woohoo!
Just felt like getting this out there to help anyone merge these mods. I couldn't help but cringe everytime you tell those... things... that you are their most 'ardent admirer' while also having NPCs like Borcha look like they are permanently depressed and about to cry. I just had to fix this since both mods combined get rid of these annoying issues. ">
For the un-modding initiated (i.e those of us who typically use automatic installers) this was not too friendly with Floris as it took a hard Christian right view against nudity - in that any bare skin (bare hands, feet) was entirely invisible
Looks great! A major improvement over the horrible original. Now I will put more effort into my guys and not be forced to cover them up with a full helmet :-D
i cant get this to work i installed right but the new faces are white please does anybody know what to do.............if so please send me a meggage telling me how to fix it.
This is Really Awesome Mods, I like it to Improve Male Faces of Games, This is Really Look Like http://www.elitedepot.com/ May Be I Will Try This Later for This Uploaded Files, I Hope This is Will Work to Try. Thanks
Hey, awesome mod! I seem to have a slight problem though. I installed this with the Female face mod as well http://mountandblade.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=1955 And I can't seem to make them work together. Either all male characters in the game flip s#*! and hairs and beards don't fit no more. Or I get the male models to work, but then all females suffer a severe case of downs syndrome. I'd love an update so both mods can work together, or if there already is one. Of course I could be a huge numbnut as well and I might be doing something wrong - anyway cheers!

load_resource = textures_face_gen
load_resource = materials_face_gen
load_resource = meshes_face_gen
load_resource = beards
load_resource = hair
to
load_mod_resource = textures_face_gen
load_mod_resource = materials_face_gen
load_mod_resource = meshes_face_gen
load_mod_resource = beards
load_mod_resource = hair
And you should be good to go... hopefully.
