Largely inspired by Irish mythology and more generally of northern peoples , story played a central role in Finisterrae . Much of this world will be accessible to you from the beginning, so you can choose your path freely but you will find out how to access some secret places, seeking information, fighting or even negotiating. You will need to solve puzzles, discover strange machines you learn to use to increase your strength, you will climb a mountain temple...

On second thought, I decided to leave to the players the free choice of the team. But it's better to start with a new party.

version 2.3:
 I have fixed a typo bug in Cian's mausoleum. If you have a crash in th East  room, please load this version.

(only other way, bypass  by console to jump  to the enter of the next room if you have already 2 balance  runes in your inventory, but why not a new check with the 2.3?  ;)  )

version 2.2:

version 2.1:
IMPORTANT WARNING (12/12/16) : DONT CLICK on Magic Book in your inventory (game crash). On some systems, the
book image works, on others it causes a D3D error. So I change the images files in version 2.2

The bug will be fixed soon in version 2.2, but if you have already started, continue with this simple precaution.
Version 2.0 works well, but thinking about the book open/close process
, I wondered about the frequency: open once
by hour, the script will make between 50 and 100 calls by frame in 10 hours... or more. So I add a condition to limit this to five all in all.


version 2.0: Get rid of cumbersome scrolls and letters, have some tracks to follow!
Now, you will find a magic book which store the important texts as you read them, organize them in themes and give some tracks to perform
the missions given in game.
Also fixed a bug on fw calls that can cause a crash on reloading a save.


version 1.5:
Fixed a bug in "Pyramidion" (crash when walking two times left from entry)
Fixed a bug on medusa count in Arcanum (if medusa is released too earlier, a bug can occurs )

Glitches corrected: 1-infinite rewards in Twisted Forest and Candles Tower fixed
2- Blocking jump fixed on Life Temple in Twisted Forest
3- Beacons in Rock Cave and Aerion work only with the relevant essence

Version 1.4 stays fully playable (save often to bypass the bugs if any)

version 1.4:
Fixed a bug that prevented the backup in three specific locations (version 1.3 stays playable with these limitations: please ask what to do on Grimrock forum). Some slight modifications added (secrets, some assets...).
EDIT: in "Arcanum", if a medusa jump out of her forcefield, and you kill her, you don't ever be able to unseal the ninth seal. Fixed in version 1.5.

version 1.3:
in version 1.2, the forge in "Athanor of Niallain" could only be used  once. Fixed in version 1.3. Now the reset of the lights and power leverrs is no more confusing.
EDIT: erreur "function with upvalues" : 3 zones where it's impossible to save without a crash, fixed in version 1.4. In 1.3,quick  save before each door is the better way ( these "crash zones" are mostly rooms in "Cian's Mausoleum" and  "Four Jewels", a single tile in "Two faces of God")
