About this mod

A Reshade preset to greatly improve the visual fidelity of KOTOR, by introducing modern and next-gen technology such as DPX filmic presets, and 32-bit HDR.

Permissions and credits
I absolutely adore KOTOR. Everything about it, from Revan's journey to the sheer amount of content (More than Fallout 4. Hey-o!) is just stunning, especially for a game that's over a decade old. Not to mention that it made Bioware make Mass Effect, bringing us even more amazing games! But, it is quite old and this point and, even thought it still looks pretty good, could use a bit of a touch up, no?

So, this Reshade preset does just that. Introducing High-pass Luma Sharpening, DPX filmic settings, and high resolution HDR, among other things, I've managed to greatly improve the visual quality of my favourite Star Wars game. Now, granted, working with technology this old, I was a bit limited in what I could do (The sharpening doesn't do as much as in other games, because there's not much extra detail to sharpen), but I still think it looks much better. Give it a try and see for yourself!

Installation is simple. Just download the Zip file, and drag and drop all the files (Except Comparison images) to your main "swkotor" folder. For me, this is located on E:/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/swkotor

All of the settings are unlocked, obviously, so you can edit them to your heart's desire if my settings aren't quite what you are looking
for. If you have any questions on what the settings do, or just wish for me to release an update to this preset, ask away! Feel free to reupload
anywhere else if you leave a comment here informing me of such. Also feel free to upload an edited version of this if you make one, but
please message it to me so I can see what you've done, I would love to see it.

Known issues:
The brightness in this game is kinda all over the place, honestly. I've balanced it as best as I could, and the actual levels should look absolutely fine, but the windows on the Ebon Hawk are almost completely white, which I sadly can't fix without sacrificing visual fidelity on normal levels. Also, the desert on Tatooine is kinda bright, but doesn't strain the eyes in the slightest, and actually looks pretty realistic without any discomfort. Finally, I also created this after leaving Taris behind, so I'm not sure how good that level looks, but it should look just fine.

Also, not really a bug, but the images here on the Nexus are kinda small since Nexus has a 2mb limit on screenshots. Test it in your game to see how it really looks, if you're at all interested.
