Description:
This mod will add a bunch of playable aliens to the game. THIS MOD WILL BE FULL OF PROBLEMS, since it has been put together with a BARE MINIMUM of files. Make sure to have BACKUPS of your files.
- They will not change appearance when equiping different armours or robes (but they should still gain the bonuses from the equiped items).
- There may be problems with cutscenes, especially the Revan unmasked scene.
- Most of the models used do not have all the needed animations (mostly combat, unlocking boxes, mines, etc), so they will look as if they have "frozen" for a moment while the action takes place.
- Sometimes the game may crash at the new character selection screen (I don't know which alien causes it).
- Half of them will cause a crash during the portrait selection if the full body appears in the scout, scoundrel, soldier screen (see screenshot of portrait selection screen for the ones that work). I have separated them into two installation folders as well.
    - It's always best to pick a human, then scroll through the portraits to the alien you want to play as.
- When you first wake up on the Endar Spire, some aliens will be invisible until you equip some clothes.
    - The Selkath will even wake up looking like a pretzel, and you will need to save the game, then load the save in order to fix the Selkath's problem.

The list of aliens included are: Bith, Duros, Gammorean, Ithorian, Iridonian (spaceman), Jawa, Nikto (swoopgang), Rakata, Rodian, Selkath, Trandoshan, Aqualish (walrusman), Frogling (Yoda), Quarren, Chadra-Fan, Gran, & Tusken Female. I have not included Wookiees or Male Tuskens, since I've already released much better versions of those. I tried a Hutt, but he was too wide to fit down the hallways of the Endar Spire. I also made each of these aliens playable as male or female. I figure that most of them have a lot of similarity between both sexes, and humans might find them hard to tell apart. I've also given some of them unique skins. The Frogling even has unique Jedi robes, and looks younger than Yoda or Vandar. He/she is about 300 years old, with long brown hair, and no wrinkles (like Minch or Yaddle - look them up on Wookieepedia).

I know that this mod isn't up to my usual quality standards, but I did it to test how difficult it would be to use these models.

Original FileFront Review:
I have the privilege of reviewing a mod from a very talented author and that means you all are in for a treat. RedRob is back with another mod for the first Knights of the Old Republic game.

I must say that this author is very patient and diligent with his work. The reason why I know this is because of his work in progress thread at Holowan Labs. I've taken peaks in there to see what he is up to and it can take months, even over a year to get a project done that he's working on. That means you guys reap the benefits of his hard work.

This mod gives you nine different alien species to play with that are in the first Knights of the Old Republic game. Some of the alien species are, Bith, Duro, Rodian, Gammorean, Jawa, Trandoshan Aqualish, Nikto, Iridorian, Selkath, Tusken Raider, and a Yoda species. There are others besides that.

Some of the species I know for sure has animation issues like the Yoda one. The visible Force Powers come out of the feet instead of the hands and will only have default and power attack animations, and will be missing critical strike and flurry while in combat for the Yoda one. Some others won't have any animations you will be accustomed to seeing like the Jawa. If you're a Selkath, you will have blaster animations, but no sword or lightsaber ones.

The thing I won't to make clear in case you don't know about the missing animations. This isn't the author's fault. The reason is BioWare didn't include them with their model. We never did get model support in modding from BioWare and their models are hard to work with. Just ask Sithspecter when he animated Revan's cape. I just found out after I reviewed his mod that the total was 18,001 animations just to make the cape move. I actually thought it was more, but still that was a lot. There is no way RedRob is going to spend years animating all of those models even if he had the ability. Again, I only mentioned this in case you didn't know.

The TSL Patcher will install your mod. Make sure after you click on the TSL Patcher (Install Mod).exe file that you select the folder where you installed your KOTOR game at when it asks you where you want to install your mod. It has to be the folder where you installed your game at because the TSL Patcher is looking for the dialogue.tlk file. If it can't find that file, you will get an error. Just keep in mind that the dialogue.tlk file has to be there or your game won't run. Just saying that in case you say you can't find it or you wonder if you still have it. If you can play your game, you have it. Enjoy!

Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future.
