Angus Weapon Compilation Mod (v1.0)
Some gamers enjoy playing more then one game, if you happen to be one of those, and one of those other games that you play happens to be F.E.A.R, then you may recognize this new developer to FarCryFiles. angusheaf brings with him a Weapon Mod that is sure to spruce up your stock version of Far Cry, and breath a whole new-fun life into your gaming adventures!



The Angus Weapon Compilation Mod is a compilation of several of the communities finest weapons into one mod so that they can be enjoyed in the Single-Player campaign. The weapon sounds have also been changed to add to your Far Cry experience.




    Some of the changes in this mod include:

Pandemie
Forget about Jack Carver, he was a wimp, and his time is gone! It's time to usher in a new hero...Luca is the star of this show! You're an eco-terrorist with an axe to grind, and a mission to complete; Once you make your way inside the heavily fortified compound, your job is to wreak havoc and sabotage the experiments that are being carried out, while you're doing all this easy stuff, you must also try to stay alive! Not as easy as it sounds! As you go through the levels, you'll come accross new charecters, so for all of you not another version of the same 'ol adventure nay-sayers, you will be plesantly surprised, and utterly addicted! This is a must have for any and all single player fanatics out there!



Along with this all new storey, the developers of this campaign have thrown in over ten new levels! (you didn't think there were 600 megs worth of screenshots, did you?) As for the developers of this file, they are 69 students working for 15 weeks, and have done a fantastic job!

Project FarCry
Project Far Cry is a great singleplayer mod for everyone out there that is looking for some new awesome Far Cry action-packed fun! This mod features the continuing adventures of Jack Carver, however, things are not kept at the status-quo...as Jack has become the very thing that he has fought against in the retail PC version...



Once you download this mod, you will be immersed in some Far Cry goodness as you make your way through seven new singleplayer missions, with new weapons and an original storyline!




    Some of the main features of this mod are:

Far Cry - Far Cry 2 Mod (v1.0 Beta)
On a scale of 1 to 10 for interesting, this mod rates a wow! Although there is no mission associated with this jungle download, it is a great place to spend some time checking out the (still) awesome capabilities of this old engine! Don't fret though, as there are some scattered baddies placed throughout, along with some weapons...add in some imagination, and you have yourself a fun place to be, even with the absence of any objectives.



Far Cry - Far Cry 2 Mod (v1.0 Beta) contains updated textures for every single-player weapon along with much more realistic damage. The models and textures are aimed at realism and are attempting to emulate Far Cry 2. It includes several other mods and several new weapons all with newly updated realistic textures; The accuracy of the weapons are more realistic as well as having more armor penetration when appropriate (no more 6 shots to the chest to kill, more like 1-4 depending on the weapon) There is also a new map included as well!




    Some tips for use with this download include:

    • Use "P" for new weapons
    • It is recommended to use a new profile as some things may not work correctly with your normal far cry saves (no errors found, but just to be safe)
    • More weapons can be had by editing the 'devmode.lua '



    First time FarCryFiles content contributor Seedr0 brings you this mod for your Far Cry gaming adventure, and he states that he will have a Website coming soon, along with some possible updates and more maps. This is good news indeed!


      Some of the features of this map include:

      • AK47 replaces M4
      • New M4 SOPMOD
      • New M3 Shotgun
      • New Glock17
      • New dual MP7s
      • Much more realistic weapon damage for most weapons, with realistically less accuracy, E.G. the silenced M4 is now slightly less accurate than the regular M4, the new AK47 is now very inaccurate yet has high armor piercing (1-2 body shots will kill)
      • Sharper default weapon textures
      • Numerous tweaks in the System.cfg file and devmode.lua (for those with low end cpus mostly, devmode tweaks available pressing "F9")
      • And more

*Little more power for the shotgun



*Grenade has a much further damage radius ( I really couldnt see why you could stand next to a live grenade and still live yourself when it explodes) Dont forget, your dealing with high speed shrapnell being flung in all directions



*Falcon 50 is more deadly



*Rifles and SMG's are more deadly and powerful



*Hanglider Parametres changed so it doesnt fly like a rock



*Little more power for the rocket, Mortar, grenade and M203/gun grenade (enemies fly slightly higher)



*Ejected Gun shells never dissapear



*Deafness time increased to 15 seconds with a handgrenade



*Deafness time for all grenade mounted rifles is 10 seconds (A 203 grenade launcher's grenade is pretty small)



*A larger crater/hole will appear when you fire a rocket or Mortar shell at a certain area
Inferno Trilogy
How would you like to get your hands on a nice new single player map? Would two of them be better? What if I told you that this single download yielded three maps of some intense Far Cry goodness?! Devilpie has developed and made available for your enjoyment, his Inferno Trilogy single player maps!



Included in this release are Inferno1, Inferno2 and Inferno3. Together these three SP maps constitute a complete storyline that has nothing to do with the original Far Cry. You play as Jack Carver (Or whomever you think that guy is). You were on a mission of retrieving a secret antidote from a heavily guarded area. You were spotted soon after entering the vicinity of the target. As you escape from ruthless mercenaries guarding the antidote, you fell off the cliff and ended up in an unfamiliar place with no weapon or vehicle. And your real challenge begins from here. You will try to find the antidote and find a way out by completing this trilogy.



The three maps are absolutely huge. You will experience something new from the original Far Cry as you encounter some very interesting and creative setups.

    The Great Thumbnail Rebuild

    We have been gearing up for some time to get ready to rebuild the thumbnails for over 2.5 million images that you’ve all uploaded over the years so that they are a much higher quality for the new website design that we've been working on.

    We kicked off this rebuilding process at the start of last week, and it is now complete. The higher quality thumbnails may take some time to filter down through our various CDN providers as they are heavily cached.

SirSalami has found an incredible dodge mod for Skyrim that not only adds an ability for you to dodge attacks, but also your enemies. I have a Star Wars based mod from nubyplay that I have had great fun checking out (frazzling enemies with lightning or sending them skyward never seems to get old), Terrorfox1234 has multicolored torches with a variety of uses, and Robbie922004 has come through again yet with a great pick and write up for 'Revenge of the Sleeves' for XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

    It's been awhile since we mentioned our work on the new mod manager. For a quick recap of "recent" events, back in August 2016 we brought on Tannin (of Mod Organizer fame) to head up work on a completely new mod manager for Nexus Mods. He's been working on it along with the two original NMM programmers ever since.

    This week they are all picks from within our Bethesda games. Terrorfox couldn't decide on just one mod, so has actually chosen 4 from the same author, all of which add additional beasties or variants of into your Skyrim game. I have chosen a mod that I think really adds a bit of variety to an otherwise annoying (but necessary) part of gaming - fast travel.
