Piper became hostile because a provisioner walked right into artillery fire, and so for the next few days it's impossible to return to Nick relating to Kellogg's brain; she's part of that script. In the meantime, Sanctuary was raided by Super Mutants and Nick, the Minuteman General, is going to answer the call.

I've done a metric ton of cleaning in Sanctuary, which I'll talk about in this video as I manage whatever this radiant quest needs.
