The excavated wetware from the brain of Kellogg tells Nate the Minuteman General nothing, and he does not know where Shaun is or even what to do except this--seek out Mama Murphy. He hadn't believed her visions were real, but after something she told him helped deal with a mobster down in a vault . . ..

In the meantime, however, the roads are still a dangerous place for travelers. Work is a good salve against the terrors of the heart. Plus, there's always artillery barrages to make one feel connected with the world.
