About this mod
This mod adds new standalone Cinderwall-Elements for settlement building (wood section)

This mod is a complete remake of the Cindercraft mod (V. 0.40) I created back in 2016.
The new version is made from scratch, adding custom made cinder block wall elements,
realistic collisions, damage decals, windows and more to the wasteland workshop (under the wood section).
How to use it properly:

1. Place wooden floor (you can swap it later for whatever you want)
2. Place Wall/Window Element.
3. Place Corner Element (Tall one when you want to build 2 levels), it has 2 snap points use whichever looks better.
4. Attach the 2nd Wall element.
5. Repeat for 2nd Floor
6. Use the spacer element to fill the gap. (Doorways, Halfwall unfortunately don't snap, use wall or window to place them and then swap them)
Why?
I was kinda disappointment with the selection of construction elements, while several great modders like ad3d0 made to the game I was still missing a proper
lore friendly way to build realistic and potentially save structures, you would actually reside in. While later additions added concrete elements to the game
they are a bit too professional. To this date, no one else picked up on the cinder blocks and their potential for a lore friendly, sturdy and realistic way
of building.
Is this compatible with XYZ?
This mod works with the latest version of Fallout 4 and should be compatible with everything and run on any PC version.
Inform me, if you encounter a problem.
V. 1.35 Change log:
- Added glass windows - no more draft
V. 1.3 Change log:
- Introduction of damage decal version for all window versions.
Well, I have. Utilizing the original damage decal concept and damage decal textures by luxor8071 (permission granted), I have painstakingly created a custom solution, giving the windows much needed details.
- Minor adjustments to the bar windows.
V. 1.2:
- New window elements (prison bars / prison bars fenced) for extra security!
- Adjusted snap points for doorway and half-wall element.
V. 1.1: Long Corner and Spacer Elements added to fill gaps in 2 Level+ buildings
V. 1.0: New wall, half-wall, doorway, open window, window fenced and a corner element.
Textures: This mod utilizes vanilla texture paths for warehouse wood and cinder blocks,
the final look will therefore be dependent on the textures you use in your installment.
V.040: Fixed potential CTD on game start due to corrupt door navmesh.
I have created a new navmesh, I'm not 100% sure it works as Todd intended, but the settlers can pass through the door.
V.030: Fixed the Doorway-Collision as well as the 90 degree snap problem introduced by the previous version :(
in order to build a corner, either use short elements
only or place the long element (doorway, cinder wall long) first!
The short parts will always fit, the long ones only if they are placed first, when connected in a 90 degree angle.
V.025: Improved Collision Meshes thanks to the input from ad3d0, will prevent wall clipping.
V.02:Added doorway element.
V.02:The Cinderwall-Long element received additional snap points for floor, and wall stacking.
V.02:Improved meshes that extend to the floor as well as overlap the corner.
V.01:Initial release, adds 2 Cinder wall elements to construction.
(Planned) updates:
DoorwayAdding further snap points for stackingAdding an outside variant, similar to a foundationWindows- Different wall elements
- Prefabs
- Probably new textures, not a priority as vanilla ones turned out quite nice.
- New stuff from your suggestions.
FAQ:
- .ESL? - Not possible as navmesh data requires an .esp. The mod should be save to merge though.
- How to handle the corner element? Always build clockwise, right to left. The corner element has only one working
snap point. Place your floor, attach a wall, then attach the corner element to the wall, and then the next wall on the other side.
- I have a seam/gap between wall elements:Try flipping the wall around, if you connect a backside with a front side, there will be a minuscule seam, also
Always use wooden floor elements for placement (you can swap them later), as they are made to work together with the walls.
Feedback:
Please describe your impressions on the usability of the walls, placement as well as further suggestions.
