About this mod

Shoots molotovs with railway rifle, mines and grenades with the broadsider through new receivers. Now with multi-shot reviecer where you can shot more then one grenade at a time.

Intro: 

 Remember those good old days in Fallout NV when you had that grenade launcher? Ya, ...this isn't that. I wish it had been though and I believe it to be an "Essential" weapon missing from my Sole Survivor's (Lone Wonder's) arsenal.


The Mod:

You can make it in the ChemStation under EGL tab some perks req. I've been working a bit in that area. Railway rifle receiver for Molotov is listed as vanilla so watch the ammo count on screen to see. No time right now to fix and not much interest from people anyway.
  Changed name from Grenade lunches to just launchers because since different ammo worked so well I would like to keep put more stuff to launch out into Wasteland ! Like the frag mines you can now shoot out of the Broadsider. Beware the the ammo you make can only be used with the receiver created and this mod. For example if you make baseball grenades in the EGL tab they can't actually be thrown like real grenades they can only be used to make the ammo, you can thank Bethesda for not letting my use a real grenade in the crafting menu.
    
    I don't know how to work with meshes/skins it is on my to do list, to learn how one day, so your stuck with the vanilla weapon models for now.

UPDATE:

1/18/16   ver. 1.9e   Added plasma mine, and artillery flare to the broadsider. Also got rid of the version number at end of file name so I don't keep changing it. I'm starting to believe it misses things up when file name changes, so this way I wont be tempted to do so.

    1/4/16 ver3.5 Got rid of shootgun and moved to Broadsider. This fixed ammo issue, adds a little game balance since you get shotgun too early in game while the broadsider takes a little longer. Also made the spreed a little wider, and reduced the ammo needed and how much is shoot out. It also looks better since it was just wired that a shoot gun can do that. As you can see I'm updating this more regularly so keep checking hope to add more molotovs and vanilla grenades then start mixing things up.

    1/3/16 Added new receiver to broadsider to shoot frag mines.


    1/2/16 Ver 1.9 Saw some more interests (65 unq. d/l total of 84) and support (3 endorsements) as I was working on my other mod. So added ability to make some of the ammo needed and fixed the receiver name it should now properly say Molotov instead of having two that say Molotov. Thinking of maybe adding landmines later.



   1/1/2016-I was about to give up completely on this project and close the page, so few people were interested (downloading) or supporting (endorsement). I asked for help on the Forum and heard nothing not even a rude comment or dumb joke. Then I was working on updating another mod (Essential Crafting) adding Fusion Core which it seems is AMMO. Well the same issue that has been plaguing this mod happened. The game wasn't recognizing it properly. Luckily I learned a few things from working on the issues here and applied them and a few new creative ideas I had to that and it worked! I decided to give this one more try before I pulled the plug trying a different gun and ammo and it worked. Not sure what specifically it was though, the gun the ammo me or all of the above? Anyway, this will be great as I work on my next project (top secrete though srry). With my time divided, it might be tough to find time to add more features like other ammo types make fixes and stuff. Endorsements help get my attention all you have to do is press that button and it's free!! (currently 2 endorsements and 53 unique downloads/74 total)



   12/31/2015- Hmm.. well there seems to a little interest in the mod currently 63 downloads and  a little support 2 endorsements. I did say that if I had some I would return to the project. I did. I spent about 6hrs trying to fix the little details this mod is having problems with. There are 3 that I see. 
1. It doesn't read your ammo in your inventory either in AMMO tab or in your hub (these may be two separate issues though i doubt it)
2. It doesn't change the receiver name when you change the receiver when applying the baseball grenade receiver
3. I believe it can currently shoot the grenades even without the receiver (at least if I remember currently, I did have a version that did that)


In the 6hrs looking into it, I was able to fix the issue on the gun shooting the grenades with or without the receiver. That was it though. I wasn't able to figure out why it's not reading the ammo though it uses it just fine, and I ran out of practice to try to figure out why the receiver name isn't changing gun name. This isn't enough to to put out an updates file since it wont change anything other then adding another step for you to use the gun which is to go to the workbench and create/apply the new receiver. Gues it's for immersion though if your really interested in a shoot gun shooting a lot of grenades then immersion isn't your highest of priorities. I think that was enough effort on my part given the current interest and support. Well see if it grows more, if I feel its grown enough I'll try to make some time again to come back to this at some point. Sorry I can't add more features like different ammo types yet since more things will only complicate my investigation efforts. I would like to thank Frederikshadows for offering to help with mesh/skin. That's nice that people want to help but the skin is again an immersion issue and that should go last. I really need some help with the issues above. I'm going to put this up on the Forums before I pause my efforts for now and see if I can get help there. At least if someone can help there then they can have a link here to download it and look at the files.

   Essential Crafting  Now with concrete and fusion crafting and other items to feel your essential crafting needs (my first and only "fully" successful attempt at making a mod for the first time to!!) 
                                         this will help make those baseballs for the ammo on this and many other crafting necessities.

About me:
For those of you following my mod learning journey. This will be my third "new" mod. Each one I've been trying to learn a new aspect of the game and modding. This was my somewhat failed attempt at modding a weapon. It took me two days to learn who to do it, the last 3hrs just trying to stop myself from blowing up! I had imagined this to eventually be like a mod I saw on FO:NV with all these neat ammo types to, which I never got to try because the author stopped supporting it and the file was no longer meeting the new standard. Which is why I don't mind seeing more then one of each type of mod. One for choice and two some of them will stop supporting their mods do to life, a new game, etc. 
   
     After two full days of this I'm about to turn in the towel. Since it is usable in that my game didn't crash and I stopped dieing from just pulling the trigger. I figured some people might have some fun with it and some modders may be able to help me fix the little issues. though given how no one was willing to help me learn how to make a fomod with my last mod I doubt it. If there seems to be interest from lots of downloads or support from endorsements i might be willing to give this another shoot at some point. One thing I did learn is just how little I've actually learned in the week I've been making mods, and have a much greater respect for those that can do it. Hopefully, you can cut me some slack it's not easy to try and learn without help. Seems more people are interested in having you implement their ideas, criticizing your hard work which is free to use rather then supporting or giving helpful technical advice. Awesome people gave me good advice on how to fix some of my links and ways to make it easy for people to find my mods!!  Anyway Enjoy! and stay safe out in the Wasteland !

 Also I'd like to thank  Derpsdale who's mod 8 in 1 grenade launcher motivated me to make an attempt at this before the GECk came out.  I didn't use his files to make mine (wishing now I had might of made my life a lot easier these past two days) but I have tried his mod and enjoyed it so much I want to give it a try. Please check out his stuff, it's better then mine no doubt.
 
   I would also like to credit all the modders that I have taken the time to make the mods I have enjoyed over the years from Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Skyrim, and Fallout 4. I can't name all of them but I would like to make a Shout Out to Gopher on YoutTube who first showed me how to install a mod.   
   Finally, the TES5Edit and Modnexus teams, because of them we are able to enjoy mods and our favorite games for a lot longer then ever thought possible.
