About this mod

Were your favorite songs on Diamond City Radio "Rocket 69" and "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On"? Do yourself a favor and install this mod! This is a collection of 75 hand-picked R&B songs from the 1950s that fit perfectly into the game. Fallout never sounded so good!

Rhythm and Blues Radio

I was so excited to see some of my favorite R&B songs such as "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On", "Good Rockin' Tonight", and "Sixty Minute Man" make an appearance in Fallout 4. The only problem was there weren't nearly enough songs like them! That's why I created this mod. This isn't another cookie-cutter "oldies" radio station that you see all too often; you won't find any Billie Holiday, Ink Spots, or Bob Crosby songs here. This is a collection of 75 small label 1950's R&B songs (with a couple jazz and blues songs thrown in) painstakingly selected by yours truly. Please check the video section for examples of the included songs.

This mod replaces all tracks on either Classical or Diamond Radio. The additional tracks were made possible with "JRaven's Extra Tracks" mod, which you will need to install as well. I made slight adjustments to each track to make them sound a little tinny, like they're actually being played through the pipboy.

There are two versions of  "Rhythm and Blues Radio", one which ONLY replaces the songs on either Classical or Diamond Radio, and one that also replaces the main menu song with "Work With Me Annie" by The Midnighters. There's also a zip in the "optional files" section containing 8 alternate main menu songs for you to choose from. I've included 30 second previews for each to make your choice easier.

Installation:

1) Download the version you would like; Diamond City Radio replacement or Classical Radio replacement.
Then choose WITH or WITHOUT main menu music replacement.

2) Extract the contents of the .zip to your Data folder (\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout 4\Data).

3) Download JRavens Extra Tracks mod. Choose either "Classic" or "Diamond" depending on which version of Blues Radio you chose to download.

4) Extract the included .esp file in your Data folder.

5) Open your plugins file (\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Local\Fallout4\) and add the name of your previously chosen esp.
It should look like this:
Fallout4.esm
Extra_Tracks_Classic.esp

6) Save and set your plugins file to read-only.

7) Open your Fallout4.ini and replace "sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\"
with "sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\,
INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\,
SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\".

8) Enjoy! Please endorse if you enjoyed the mod and don't forget to endorse JRaven's Extra Tracks as well!
