I highly, highly recommend using TinyManticore's awesome alternate start mod: Start Me Up. It is AMAZING. Ah. Maze. Ing. It even changes the player dialogue to reflect your origins! That's what I'm using now myself, rather than this quick-and-dirty fix. Go try Start Me Up and remember to leave TinyManticore an endorsement!

These save files are made with the main quest completed to the point where you

kill Kellogg. Nick Valentine has been rescued, but there's no contact with Codsworth, and no exploration of Sanctuary. The only quest completed is the main quest chain, up to Reunions. Kellogg's body is still in Fort Hagen Command Center, with all loot, if you ever want to do the rest of the chain. NPCs will reference the Brotherhood of Steel, but they won't be present in the Wasteland until you reenter Fort Hagen, then exit via the roof.

The character has three levels (from required quests) and no perks selected.
The saves were made without mods, and should be completely safe to swap into your setup.

The Back To Reality start is inspired by the Red Dwarf episode of the same name.
The Grimm start is based on the television show of the same name. I loved it; too bad it was cancelled after the second season. Find more here: Murderboarding.

- player.sexchange Changes player character between male and female models.
- ShowLooksMenu 14 1 Allows you to change your character appearance. "14" is the player character ID. Or, you can visit the surgeon.
- ShowSPECIALMenu Change name and SPECIAL points.
