Fallout 4

About this mod

Gatling Lasers always been OP IMHO, there's no point in being subtle.

Go on a rampage with the Improved Charging Barrels, or decimate the Commonwealth with Fusion Cannons.

Say hello to my little friend...

ANNOUNCEMENT

Been a wild ride. Updating and maintaining these mods individually has been tedious.

My Overhauls has been consolidated in an AIO pack, and it would be easier for me to simply maintain, and develop that.

I did this. Big big big big thanks to opengts for putting up with my stupid requests from him. He did the Sniper Barrel, the Extended and Extended Bracketed versions of my Laser-Musket Overhaul (that you should check out too). Anyways, there are custom models, the Accelerated barrels, the Splitter and the Gyro-Compensating stuff. The Improved Barrels and Improved Charging Barrels are my own however, achieved by the use of NifScope

So, why does the Minigun has the Accelerated Barrel and the lousy Tri-Barrel, but not the Gatling Laser? Why does the other Energy Weapons have the Splitter and Gyro-Compensating stuffs? In my experience, I get the Gatling Laser Overhaul near the end, that there's little of the main story-line left, and it's so OP it's not even funny. There's no point in being subtle, here's an Overhaul to scratch your power-trip.

UPDATE 5.0

NOW USES MULTIPLICATIVE DAMAGE

This means that BFG is now properly affected by the receiver modifications.

Main Changes:

> Adds Maximized Receiver Variants
> Adds Beam Splitter, Gyro Stabilizer, and the improved variants of muzzles.
> Adds more scopes.
> Adds Overcharging Barrel (BFG Barrel): 1.0 Fire Rate, 100 Damage + 100 AOE damage to 256 radius, 30 shots/core, 60,000 damage/core, 200 DPS. Renames Gatling Laser to "Fusion Cannon", Is technically an explosive weapon, greatly improved range and has it's own set of muzzle attachments.
> Never-Ending Legendary provides 100000x ammo/core consumption.
 > Added Institute Gatling Laser. It is 12.5% lighter, but does same less damage. It is 15% more accurate. It cannot use Overcharging Barrels. It is integrated with several other coursers, most notably the one in the Greentech Genetics.

NOTES:
 - The way i heard it, the Rate of fire is capped with the frame-rate of your game. So if your max frame rate is 30, then your max rate of fire is 30. Because Frame Rates can be lowered as the game slows, so does the rate of fire. It's Bethesda's fault, not mine m'kay?
 - The way i mashed up the BFG barrel with NIFSkope isn't perfect, i'm sorry. With the new Rotary version doesn't have the barrel at all, rather it's included in the muzzle that piggybacks on the muzzle slot, because i could not find a way to combine a mesh that has a spinning part and a non-spinning part. I'm very sorry. Included in the FOMOD is the old barrels if you don't want the rotary version.
 - Shots with scopes don't exactly hit directly at the crosshair, they hit above and i cannot fathom why.

BFG BUGS:
 - Swapping capacitors with the BFG would misalign attached weapons. It's best to unequip the BFG Barrel first to change capacitors, and reattach it back.
 - Constantly going to ADS and back increases rate of fire.
 - "Rapid" legendary attachment such as Final Judgement quadruples rate of fire.
 - Overcharging barrel itself has a mis-aligned projectile node. Attach the "No-Muzzle" to fix this, or any other muzzles.
 - Beam Splitter and Improved variant actually deals more damage than what it shows, the system simply does not account of multiple projectile explosions.
 - The Rotary BFG barrel can potentially cause CTD as you switch with it using hotkeys, switch from the pip-boy instead. Or you can use the non-rotary variant.

AETERNUS NOTES:

Aeternus, by default capitalizes on the bug feature that gives true unlimited ammo, problem is that the bug feature will only start when you have multiple fusion cores.

Note that in the Video, Oxhorn has 5 Pristine Fusion Cores, afterwards 1 FC with 54/100 and 4 bugged FCs with 0/100. Now during my testing, it ends up with one 1/100, with 4 100/100 FC.
