About this mod

Adds to the doors menu the option to build doors only the player can open or close. Can choose between doors that can be destroyed and one that can't.

Tired of spending time decorating your house with mementos of your travels through the Commonwealth, leave to fight and loot, and come back to discover your settlers have scattered your loose items all over the floor. Well, worry no more as you can now build doors that are locked to everyone but you.

What this mod actually does is add doors that aren't doors preventing NPCs from recognizing them. They will show up in the door menu and require a bit more metal to build.

You currently can choose between destructible and indestructible doors. I added this choice because you might like some risk with raiders so they can still get into your private areas.

Now with gates and an optional selection that adds indestructable doors to the player original house. I mean you still have the keys right?

WARNING: Be aware that the optional mod that locks the player house has a bug. If you install this make sure nothing is inside the player house before the install. Most notably, power armor as the frame will be reset and you will likely lose all your armor pieces. Additionally, weird behavior has been seen where you may be unable to run. This is rare but has been reported. You have been warned. Outside of this, the mod works as advertised once installed unless you have the running bug. Please report anything else you may experience though as cell resets are apparently something the game doesn't handle well. I am working on a fix that will remove this buggy behavior but it is being difficult. Thank you.


[INSTALLING]
Simply download using your favorite mod manager and select one of the two options. You may also select the independant optional mod to add locked doors to the player house.

NOTE: This shouldn't conflict with other mods that add items due to the way I added them but as I only tested it with Settlment Supplies Expanded if you find any conflicts please open a bug report.

KNOWN BUG: So far I have had one report of this but if you have your power armor in Sanctuary, maybe specifically in the player house, and install the optional player home door mod the suits may be stripped of their pieces of armor leaving just frames. Removing the optional mod section puts them back without corrupting the save so no harm but be sure to check and let me know if you are getting the same result. Not sure what would cause this as the mod replaces a door type, removes another door on the ground, and then adds a new door. Doesn't touch anything else but I am going to attempt to replicate this bug and fix it if I can.
(currently I am unable to replicate so may be a currently undefined conflict with another mod, working with reporting user to identify and fix)

KNOWN BUG: NPCs can teleport if pathing fails so the locked doors are currently not 100% but still better than before. I am searching for the script used to trigger the teleport so I can put a catch for Settlers and possibly attacking Raiders so they lose this ability.

Possible Future features:
1. Removal of Settler Teleportation and Raider Teleportation(when attacking settlements only if possible).
2. Script addition that will close all doors that aren't lockable 10 seconds or so after they are open so your settlment isn't left with 100 open doors. (Thanks to Krazyman999  for the suggestion)
3. Add new doors to the list of lockable doors. Need to determine how to avoid conflicts with other mods like SSex before this release will be made.

Change Log:
0.32 - Added House Key as a lore additive for why the player house is locked to the player (Thanks to speaker60 for suggestion). Doors do not start locked, trying to get them locked at start with the key required to unlock. Currently the key is on the kitchen island in the house as the front door is left open at start.
0.31 - Added optional file that adds locked doors to the player house so this is usable space for player housing.
0.3 - Added Lockable gates so fences and gates can be restricted for player use only. (Thanks to jmido8 for suggestion)
0.2 - Made sure all standard doors have a lockable version.
0.1 - Added doors that only the player can use so you can keep the NPCs away from your stuff.
