βAn explosion may be defined as a loud noise accompanied by the sudden going away of things from the places where they were before.β β Joseph Needham Science and Civilization in China
Background I've always despised how rocket launchers are portrayed in popular games and movies. They tend fire ridiculously slow moving rockets that completely ignore gravity, whilst pelting out a thick white smoke trail. This is nothing like reality and thus annoys realism nutters like myself to no end. Hence I decided to give modding a try to see if I could fix the issue.
Description This mod aims to completely overhaul of the explosives in Fallout 4. It aims to bring realistic and enjoyable system for explosives within the game. Currently the mod only effects the missile launcher, adding gravity and a significant speed boost to the rocket. This results in a far more realistic weapon and also a more interesting and enjoyable one to fight with and against. The explosion has also been down-scaled, both visually and effectively. The splash damage has also been reduced whilst the direct impact damage has been significantly increased. This is done to simulate an anti-tank HEAT rocket.
Current Features
Rockets Now experience gravity
Rockets have significantly greater velocity
Slightly reduced rocket explosion size and splash damage
Damage: 135 -> 100
Radius 500 -> 250
Dramatically increased direct impact damage of rockets
Damage: 15 -> 500
No recoil For the rocket launcher (kinda, the animation is still there but there is no actual recoil)(thanks to:TakaruMinari)
The explosion sound has been changed to the artillery impact sound
I decided to change the sound because the artillery impact sound has a little more punch to it.
Planned Features
Different ammo types
Additional explosive weapons
realistic mines
Instant detonation
Small activation range (must step on the mine)
No warning except for a small click
Proper HEAT simulation
Redone explosion effects and audio
Installation Just use your preferred mod manager or install it in the same way you would install any other .esp mod.
