ACCESSIBLE BACKPACKS

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Are you like me? Always picking up guns but just don't have the carry weight to haul them all around? Constantly picking up scrap to mod those guns or build Mama Murphy her Ultra Super Mecha Death Chair 9000, but quickly find yourself overburdened? Constantly stuffing Dogmeat and/or your companion with various odds and ends? And have you picked up Backpacks of the Commonwealth, and thought "man I wish I could, like, PUT stuff in this thing instead of it just increasing my carry weight!" Well, Jimmy, you're wish is about to come true!
Here at Accessible Backpacks, we make it so you CAN put stuff in that portable storage pouch you put on your hinder! So long as this mod is installed along with BOTC, when you equip any backpack from the mod it will add an item to your Aid category that shares the same name as that backpack. Activate that item within the inventory screen or put it on a favorites hotkey, and *BOOP*, you have yourself a place you can put your garbage without overburdening yourself, your Dogmeat, or whichever luckless sap you've decided to drag across the Commonwealth with you.
Every backpack available in Backpacks of the Commonweath has been granted this feature, so no matter which one you choose, you're guaranteed to be able to get into it and fill it full of sweet rolls, or guns, or guns loaded with sweet rolls if that's your thing.
I made this mod for myself, but figured hey, I can't be the only one who'd want this sort of thing, so I decided to release it as a little appetizer while I continue work on my next weapon mod.
::INSTALLATION::
> Download Backpacks of the Commonwealth, manually or by NMM/Vortex and install it. If living dangerously and installing manually, make sure all the files are properly extracted to your Data folder.
>Install Accessible Backpacks. The mod exists standalone to BOTC, only requiring it as a master, and so can be uninstalled safely without affecting BOTC, plus any updates to BOTC has little chance of interfering with Accessible Backpacks. Make sure to place Accessible Backpacks below BOTC in your load order.
::UNINSTALLATION::
> Disable the mod via the in-game menu or a mod manager, and delete the ESP if desired. As it's standalone from BOTC with scripts that only run when activated, it should be reasonably safe to remove at any time.
::NOTEY-NOTES::
> Because of how things are set up, don't fret if you lose a backpack you "stored" things in; you won't lose the items that you had put away, and in fact you can regain access to your items if you obtain the same kind of backpack.
> Items "stored" in the backpack don't increase encumbrance, and there's no real limit to how much you can store. I'm not sure it's possible to put limits like that in place with how things are set up.
LET IT BE KNOWN THIS MOD SHALL NOT BE COPIED AND PASTED ELSEWHERE WITHOUT PERMISSION OF THE AUTHOR (ME). DOING SO WITHOUT PERMISSION MAY RESULT IN FREQUENT RASHES, HEAD COLDS, ANTIDAEPHOBIA, TURBO WEIGHT GAIN, DEMONIC HARD DRIVE POSSESSION, BAD GAS, PIXELATION AND A SUDDEN UNYIELDING LOVE FOR JUSTIN BIEBER. IF YOU ALREADY ARE A FAN OF JUSTIN BIEBER, ANY AND ALL MP3S WILL ONLY PLAY NIC CAGE SHRIEKING "NOT THE BEES!"
Oh, hey, I have a Discord Server now! Stop on by for general nonsense and maybe sneak-peeks. :3
