Immersive Weapon Names

Pretty simple mod.  Just renames weapons and ammunition to bring them more in line with the previous games of the franchise!

No damage adjustments are incorporated, which means that this mod will be incompatible with any mod that seeks 'balance', other ammo, or other damage adjustments.  I am happy to work on compatibility patches for such; to demonstrate, this has AmmoTweaks, Better Item Sorting, Bhaal's Better Sorting, Caliber Conversion Kit, Gatling Laser Ammo Swap, Re-Ballistic, Weapon Balance Overhaul, and 9mm Pistol patches!

Version 1.7 is currently being uploaded, but due to the file structure being broken down, sleep deprivation, and medical tests IRL, copypasta errors are being done.  I thank you for your patience as I double check what I am doing.

Melee Weapons
  • Chinese Officer's Sword: now Jiang (version 1.6)
  • Revolutionary Sword: now Saber (version 1.6)

Small Arms
  • 10mm: now Colt N99
  • 44: now Smith & Wesson M29
  • Submachine gun: now Thompson 1921A1 (version 1.6)

Small Arms - Optional
  • 9mm: now Walther PPK (version 1.5)

Long Arms

  • R91: uses 5.56x45mm instead of .45 - No damage adjustment, just no longer a rifle firing a pistol round.

As a special note; weapons already in your possession before installing the mod will not be updated with their immersive name until they are modified at a station; the game will then generate the new names as intended.  All weapons looted/crafted/etc after the mod is installed will be named appropriately.

Thanks owed again to Oberfeldfebel for his initial work on Gewehre des Tores, though as he has now retired the project, Immersive Weapon Names will no longer support conversion patches for the mod.

Fun note: AEC9-650 is "AE Carbine 9" (same as the AER9 from New Vegas), 650 meaning the nm frequency for the laser itself.  Just thought you might be interested. I know that there was never a "Carbine" edition for laser weapons, but until modifying the name based on stock is available, I'll have to compromise the weapon name between 'pistol' and 'rifle'.
