I MADE HOTFILES WITHOUT BOOBS IN MY MOD YAY!!!!!!!
THANK YOU ALL FOR THE ENDORSEMENTS!!!!

As I explained my mod, The Left Field Diner - Sponsored by Nuka World (SHAMELESS PLUG), a couple weeks ago, team CREA contacted me to ask about some stained glass textures I had played with a year ago, they were looking to make some lamps for their CREAtive clutter mod. I went through what I had and I wasn't too happy with it, as I had learned a lot in the intervening year. So I went back, made the textures again, and made more textures. I found some resources on Deviantart from jojo-ojoj (Shutterstock link - THANK YOU) and Didacus (permissions granted) and things kind of spiraled out of control from there. 11 custom and 41 abstract design texture sets later, and I had got nowhere to put these awesome looking textures. So I had to make some places to put this glass...... Turns out I made over 6,200 places to put this glass.

When I set some of my lights up and turned them on in game... they looked a little plain, nobody loved them. They were just some lights. We've got some lights already. They just got plugged in and left. If you're going to do something, do it right. So after long fights with trial and error, I rigged some colored gobo lights from the diffuse textures to throw colored lights on the walls. I also placed animated mists to go in/through/around/out of the light fixtures where appropriate.

*Does not actually contain godrays. Are you crazy? You know how expensive those things are to render? No.. you get animated mists and colored lights on the walls, close enough to volumetric lighting. Yes, I said animated mist! How awesome is that?

SETTLEMENT MENU MANAGER by Cadpnq, CONTRAPTIONS, WASTELAND WORKSHOP, NUKA WORLD, and FAR HARBOR ARE REQUIRED

WITH NMM:
Download and install the main file. If you would like the strictly 1K texture pack, you don't need to do anything else. If you would like a higher resolution, download and install the texture pack of your choice as specified below

Manual:
Dump the contents of the 7zip into your data directory.

Vortex and Mod Organizer:

Don't know, I don't use them.

Texture packs:
NOTE that there are a LOT of textures in this mod. You probably don't want anything to do with the 4K textures, even with higher end machines. The length of time it takes to load the Unicorn Farts and Godrays menu is directly proportional to the size and number of textures the game has to load and display for you in that menu. If you are experiencing delays and short freezes in navigating the mod menu, then either hang on, it will unfreeze, or switch to a smaller texture pack.

2K Branded: All of the regular abstract colored stained glass textures are at 1K, the stained glass patterns with logos and specialty designs on them, like the Nuka logos, or Majora are bumped to 2K.

2K Full: All textures are at 2K resolution. This is the one I use with a 3.7Ghz i7, GTX1070, and 32GB RAM. There is nearly no delay in menu loading.

4K Branded: All of the regular abstract colored stained glass textures are at 2K, the stained glass patterns with logos and specialty designs on them are bumped to 4K.

4K Full: You probably don't want to use this. Freezes for my menu loading approached 7 seconds.

I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND PLACE EVERYWHERE FOR THIS MOD. IT WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE EASIER, ESPECIALLY IF YOU PLAN ON PUTTING GLASS INTO EXISTING WALLS

IF YOU DON'T USE PLACE EVERYWHERE BECAUSE OF BETH'S CONTINUAL UPDATES TO THE GAME, I SUGGEST RUNNING STEAM OFFLINE, THEN YOU ONLY TAKE AN UPDATE WHEN YOU WANT IT. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE.

If you have the required DLC and mod installed, start your game, open your workshop menu, and scroll to the right towards the end until you see a stained glass ball. Unicorn Farts and Godrays is located in the root category of your workshop menu.

Decorative Oil Lamps: Do not require electricity and they cast only the colored light you see.
Light casting Oil Lamps: Do not require electricity and will cast the vanilla orange firelight in addition to the colored light.
Powered Lamps: Require electricity. You can walk up to them and turn them on and off as well. Awesome!
"Glass" Type Lamps: The stained glass remains translucent, glowing when on, you can see the bulbs or filaments inside.
"Opaque" Type Lamps: The stained glass itself is not see through, it glows when it is on. It is the most common type of lamp I made.
Glass and Skylights: I set these plugin entries to be as versatile as possible. With the right arrangement, the skylights can be used as floors as well, they are navmeshed. It may be a little tricky to get the tileable ones to snap right, but they do snap right. Be patient and play around with the positioning, it will snap there.

Official Nuka Coolers: Stocked by Damanding herself. "Official" in the lore sense of the word, not Bethesda official. These will cool your drinks in about 2 hours game time. You can get around this by putting either a cryolator round or a liquid nitrogen dispenser (both vanilla game items) in the cooler with the warm drinks. The drinks will instantly cool and the round/dispenser will be consumed. Yes, that's condensation mist coming from the cooler, nice huh?

Misalignment: This can happen if you pick up a placed light in workshop mode and drop it back to the original spot without placing it. If the lights and mist are not in the right spot in relation to the light fixture itself, pick up the light in workshop mode and put it down with a placement again.

Highlighting in Workshop Mode:
If you can't get a placed light to highlight in workshop mode, turn it off first with the activate button.
Floor and ceiling lights cast much more lights than the wall ones BTW.

How to coordinate: "Wall light 1-8" "Wall light 1-7" refer to the color scheme. If you want different fixtures of the same colors, look for the same numbers in the menu. i.e. Diner booth 1-2, Wall light 1-2, Ceiling light 1-2 will all have the same pattern.

If you can't find a design for a particular item: It probably looked awful or went outside the borders. Some of the custom logos I made do not work well with some of the glass shapes. I assure you, if it looks good, it will be an option for that particular item.

Scripts: This workshop mode makes HEAVY use of a placement script. In fact, every item that isn't a building item or furniture uses this script. The placement script started bare bones and craptacular. I got a lot of help from non crappy scripters and managed to make it workshop relevant and button it up tight. It has proven to be VERY reliable with only one complaint of a leftover light after the item was scrapped through all the testing. THAT BEING SAID, DO NOT ABUSE THE SCRIPT, treat it right, give it a second to execute, and it will treat you right. What do I mean by this? I mean don't go will-nilly turning crap on and off rapid fire throughout your settlement. Turn it on, wait half a second, then do your thing with it. Place it, give it half a second, then try the new placement if you change your mind.

If the lights and the mist are out of sync when you activate the lamp: This can happen when your generators are smashed or switched off and you accidentally activate the lamp. Turn off your generator, activate the lamp ONCE, and turn the generator back on.

If you abuse the script by executing it too many times in to short a time (More than once a second) you MAY end up with animated mist and colored lights placed in your settlement that can't be deleted because there is no corresponding workshop item. You've been warned.

Why do the objects in the workshop menu have white and grey crap all over the shades? Bethesda workshop menu doesn't play well with alpha. Alpha matting is left with frills. This has no effect on the actual placed product. Numbers have been assigned to each pattern to make it easier to coordinate.

I can't find the leg lamp, the cooler, or the ceiling fans! Try under the 'misc' sub menu for each section.

Why isn't every design available on every item? Some didn't line up right. Imagine how awful that Nuka Cola logo would look on the octagonal lamp.

What Diner mod were you talking about that is so awesome I have to DL and endorse it now? Glad you asked!! Time of day lighting, colored mists, custom voiced merchant with rumors galore, a little slice of Nuka World outside of Nuka World. I just so happen to have a link right here: The Left Field Diner - Sponsored by Nuka Cola

Are there any updates coming? Yes! Vim stained glass. Time of day lighting and colored mists for the windows like in my Left Field Diner (See? I provided a link again! How convenient. It kinda just makes you want to DL and endorse it, doesn't it?), Nuka Cooler stock that reflects what you actually put in it, more building items with windows, floors, and skylights.
