IMPORTANT If you are running the Bethesda UHD textures this mod will not help you in the slightest (As these will still be over ridden by the DLCUltraHighResolution.esm archives. This mods target audience is for low-med end systems that are having issues getting playable frame-rates.

  • Note If you like you may still try them out even if you have a High-End system that can run the DLCUltraHighResolution texture pack by disabling the DLCUltraHighResolution.esm in Nexus Mod Manager.

DISCLAIMER This is an upload for a few of our friends that needed it. If you want to see if your system will benefit from all the work that went into this help yourself.  - This mod is considered in OPEN BETA status. - Meaning, We haven't found any bugs and our systems are seeing an improvement in performance, There are just too many variables and settings involved to guarantee that you yourself will see the same results. We are optimistic. Your constructive feedback is welcome.

Thank you for trying this out.

  • Your results will vary, Each GFX and system has "bottlenecks" in different areas due to so various different reasons. (frequency of GPU, VRAM, (Size, Type, Etc) amount of shaders, pipelines, the interface type, Drivers etc) These results are from the following system and that configuration only. in short the better your gear is the less results you will see. (Some other bottle necks can be CPU, RAM, & HDD (amount, speed, size, etc)

Fully Rebuilt all game 2k textures (aka Vanilla Textures) using KLMX's Custom script with pixel analysis and choice 1K BC7 compression FROM 4K HD-DLC pack.

This pack is built for users that have trouble running their game with playable FPS. Testing has been limited due to the lack of less powerful hardware.

Result will vary. but you should see a noticeable improvement in play-ablity. With out noticeable quality loss due to the compression methods used by KLMX's Script.

The primary test system: (current best results)
Tested on an HP laptop with an Intel HD 620 on board GFX, 16GB of Ram, and i5 cpu, Clean install of Fallout 4 (ie. No mods)

  • Vanilla 2k down town boston 12 fps
  • Potato Textures down town boston 37 fps

Of course all setting were on (lower then) low for testing with, although FAA was enabled, and the resolution was set to 1280x720

Furthermore all main enhancements were disabled for both tests. the goal was to make the game playable.

Settings Disabled
Bokeh, Wetness Mat., Rain Occlusion, Lens Flare, Ambiet Occl., Depth Of Field, Motion Blur, Screen Space Reflections, Radial Blur, Water Reflections, and NPC Shadows. Volumetric LIghting (God Rays)
Anistropic Filter was set to 0 (zero) manually in the ini.

All that and the system still could only pull 9-14 fps down town, after the texture pack's activation 33-42. (As with most "benchmarks" so far this is the BEST test case we have seen to date, each system is different then the next. Realistically, unless you are running the exact same system, you will see less of an increase then this. As better hardware doesn't have bottlenecks in the same area as this test system)

WARNING: These texture packs are named the SAME as vanilla to make the ease of use more simple for the end user. This means either BACKUP (copy or move Fallout 4 - Textures01.ba2 Through Fallout 4 - Textures09.ba2 somewhere else) OR just use Nexus Mod Manager to install them.

We haven't found any bugs yet, but remember there are over 42,000 textures in the base game. So if any are found they will be addressed as needed.

Hope this help you guys like it did my buddy that i put this together for! Enjoy

NOTE This is just the Main game texture packs for now (Commonwealth) . If you guys are pleased with the results, I will get the DLC done as well.

If you would like a try at optimizing your game further. Check out this guide, They did an extensive break down of fps cost per Fallout 4 game setting. Should help you in finding that balance between fidelity and playablitiy.
