Three New Camos in 1.2! Look at the later entries in the Images tab for details

Scroll down to the bottom of the page for other parts of the project

Overview

This mod adds some more paint options for the vanilla (and, optionally, DLC) armors, using the framework added by the Creation Club. At the moment, the following camo patterns are included:

  • ABU
  • ACU
  • DPM (Desert)
  • DPM (Winter)
  • DPM (Woodland)
  • MTP
  • NWU (new in 1.2)
  • Flecktarn (new in 1.2)
  • Tropentarn (new in 1.2)

On the following armors:

  • Leather
  • Metal
  • Synth
  • Combat
  • Robot (Optional File)
  • Marine (Optional File)
  • Classic Combat Armor (Optional File)

The mod also adds new variants of the Army Fatigues and Army Helmet, crafted under the utility tab at the chem lab, that can be modified with any of the above camo patterns.

Finally, all camo options are also available for the Pip-Boy.

File Details

There are three files available. The base file contains all the vanilla armors, Pip-Boy, and Army Uniform. The second file adds the two DLC armors (Robot and Marine), and as such requires both the Automatron and Far Harbour DLCs, but not the Main file. Finally, the third file is an addon for Classic Combat Armor, and as such requires that mod to function.

Design Details

The paint options are intended to look a little worn, and therefore have scratches and marks on certain areas. It should be noted that the DLC armor textures are a bit darker than the vanilla ones. I may edit the vanilla ones to be visually consistent with the DLC ones if there is enough demand.

It should be noted that the Marine Armor options only appear on the "Assault" variant. This is deliberate, as it seems unlikely the CoA would have camouflaged armor.

Future Content

Likely coming soon
  • Remade Combat Armor Textures for the six original camos
  • Fix some texture errors on the robot armor
  • Add the new 1.2 textures to the Classic Combat Armor

Theoretical future content
  • Weapon Paint- coming next! Done! See below
  • More Camos- I would prefer to have all camo options available for all 6 armor sets, 4 (or maybe 5 if I can do the Hellfire Armor) Power Armors, the Pip-Boy, and 10 weapons. But in the unlikely event I actually manage this, I'll consider adding more options.
  • Chinese Stealth Armor- considering this as a side project.

For this mod specifically, I'd like to do addons for the Mercenary Armor mod, but need to get permission from the author of that mod first, so it's a purely hypothetical addon at this point. Update: Said addon is more or less done, I just need to get permission from the mod author to release it.

Known Issues

The textures for the Army fatigues and combat armor arms may appear purple. A fix for this is included in the "Files" section, just overwrite the main file with it.
Fixed in newer versions,

NOTE: Whilst the army fatigues, helmet, and Pip-Bpy textures are always available, the armor skins may not show up if you don't have any Creation Club skins installed. If this proves an issue, there is a new creation club skin given away for free every Thursday.
Issue Fixed in 1.11 onwards

(Shout out to Ablaze666 for helping with these issues, and several others)

The textures for the visor of the Robot Armor Sentry Helmet have several visual errors, as can be seen in the screenshots. A fix for this can be found under Optional Files
Fixed in 1.2 onwards

Credits

The Classic Combat Armor mod was made by Castell and Team F4NV, of the Fallout4NewVegasProject. The original textures upon which the ones in my addon for that mod are based were created by them.
