As VR players have no doubt all seen so far, the Submachine gun does not line up with VR controller in game. It looks like you are grabbing the gun by the stock instead of the pistol grip. That's awfully immersion breaking. If you're an experienced shooter, the disconnect between what your hand is telling you and what you're eye is seeing can make the gun almost impossible to use.
If all you need is a fix the for the SMG's position, you can get that here.
FailFailWin released a set of tweaks for all of the vanilla guns that I think makes work really well for VR play. You can see a better description of what he did here. However, the fix involves altering the base record of the weapon so it will conflict with Fail's mod. That's why whipped this together - with Fail's permission.
Installation:
Just unzip into your Fallout 4 VR /Data directory or install with a mod manager of his choice. You can uninstall or overwrite Fail's mod. I've preserved all of his tweaks and only changed apparent grip point of the SMG so his current mod is no longer need. I still recommend clicking over to his mod page and giving him some endorsement love.
