About this mod
A simple mod that uses the T-60 (or optionally then T-51) Power Armor meshes for the X-01 Power Armor, allowing you to use the better armor while still keeping the T-60 (or T-51) visuals.

[NEW 3/11/16]: I have added an optional "T-51" version by request. I'm a bit more into "modding" again at the moment, and these kinds of model swaps only require 5 minutes of my time to copy+paste and rename a few files anyways! n.nU
I simply like the T-60 Power Armor meshes visuals much better than the X-01 Power Armor, and this mod simply allows you to use the better tier X-01 Power Armor while still keeping the T-60 visuals.
All I did was copy+paste and rename some of the mesh files! n.nU
All paints and such should work as if you were wearing the T-60 armor... I think. Havn't tested this fully.

Before and After Preview:

==================
How To Install:
Put the "meshes" folder in your "Fallout 4/Data" directory.
If you haven't already made the required .ini edits in order for the game to load loose files, here's what you do:
[NEW]: As of the first game "patch", this process has changed!
You no longer need to amend the line to:
sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, sound\, textures\, meshes\, scripts\, music\, misc\, shadersfx\, interface\, programs\, materials\
...Instead:
- Open up Fallout.ini (for Windows, this is found at "C:\Users\<YOUR_NAME>\Documents\My Games\Fallout4"), and make the following changes to the [Archive] section:
[Archive]
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=
If you still have remnants of the old "fix" for forcing the game to load loose files in your Skyrim.ini file that I mentioned above, you should remove them.
Now all loose files should load properly! :]
I HIGHLY recommend you set both Fallout.ini and Falloutprefs.ini to "read only", or else the game (
=====================
How To Uninstall:
Simply delete the files - the game will go back to using the default ones packed inside the various "Fallout4 - Textures.ba2" archives (yep, they're all scattered around, I had to dig through several different ones to find all of what I needed).
You should probably leave the .ini changes, though, as most mods will need them in order to function at all.

Q/A:
Q: I don't like this, the original X-01 was way better looking than the T-60!
A: Then don't download it. This is a personal preference sort of mod that I made for myself and decided to share it just in case anyone else would like to use it as well.
Q: Will you make any other Power Armor type swaps?
A: I doubt it, no (sorry). EDIT 03/11/16: I'm more "on modding" at the moment, and since these take so little time to do: yes (if you catch mew in a good mood lol).
Q: Will this apply the "X-01 to T-60" Power Armor swap to all X-01 Power Armors, or just the ones that the player uses'?
A: Sadly, at the moment all we can do is an "all or nothing" replacement, so yeah - anyone else two uses X-01 Power Armor will also look like they're wearing T-60 Power Armor. Once the official tools are out, I may just add a single set of Power Armor that has the same stats as the X-01 armor does with the visuals of the T-60.
Q: You know, you may be able to do that right now with FO4Edit.
A: Well, that wasn't a question, but I'll answer it anyways: I didn't feel like trying. I don't like how X-01 armor looks like, at all, so a full replacement doesn't bother me one lick! n.nU
Q: Is that a power armor retexture?
A: Yes, yes it is. You can find it here: Orange Power Armor Paint
Q: How did you get these files unpacked?
A: I used B.A.E.
Q: How did you view the meshes?
A: There is currently a (very limited) but semi-functional version of NifSkope with support for Fallout 4. You can find it here.
Q: What tool did you use to make that "Before and After" GIF?
A: I made it by hand using GIMP and its DDS Plugin.
Q: Why does you game lighting and coloring look weird?
A: I am using Fallout 3 Esque, with some slight modifications I made to the coloring.
