About this mod

This is the blueprint file for a log cabin home I built at the Red Rocket outside Sanctuary. The location needs to be cleared first using a scrap mod.

Having issues with blueprints not loading properly? Have a look at this article on the subject: Import: as stable as possible
Also take a look at this handy tool for editing blueprints: Transfer Settlements Blueprint Editor

First off before we go any further, to use this file you will need the Transfer Settlements Mod by CDante http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/22442/?

This is a settlement blueprint of a Log Cabin Home aka 'The Homestead' a lived-in log cabin Manor at the Red Rocket Truck stop just outside sanctuary using 'The Cabin in the Woods' by Ethreon http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15938/?

Note that the house takes up the same spot as the original Red Rocket so the location will need to be cleared using a scrapping mod and/or console commands. I highly recommend the mod 'scrap everything' by shadowslasher410: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/5320/? The Workbench will need to be moved to the edge of the settlement either by using a mod to move the workbench or by using console commands. Personally, I recommend using the mod Place Everywhere

Installation: Manual installation only, aka NMM doesn't work correctly for this. You will need to download the zip file and extract it to Steam/steamapps/common/Fallout 4/Data/F4SE/Plugins/TransferSettlements/Blueprints and then place it in an empty folder slot 1 through 50. If you have just installed the Transfer Settlements Mod then you will have no folder slots so you can just create a new folder, give it a number (anywhere from 1 to 50) and put the file in there. By default, the file will be in Folder slot 1 when you download it.

 I really hope I didn't just confuse anyone. :P

TL;DR I need better instructions etc.

Step 1: Install 'Transfer Settlements - Shareable Settlement Blueprints' by CDante http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/22442/?

Step 2: Manually download this mod and unzip it to Steam/steamapps/common/Fallout 4/Data/F4SE/Plugins/TransferSettlements/Blueprints

Step 3: Go to the Red Rocket truck stop outside Sanctuary and clear the location entirely (Especially the Red Rocket building)

Step 4: Move the workbench to the outer edges of your settlement:

Step 5: Open the [Settings] Transfer Settlements holotape in the Misc section of your pip-boy.

Step 6: Select 'Import Settlement from a blueprint.

Step 7: Select my file: bp_sam smith_rocket_170724041938 (for 1.0a select the file bp_wolfar15 builds_rocket_190430025607.json)

Step 8: after the blueprint loads and you get back to the pip-boy screen you need to have these settings selected: Import DLC items, Import Mod added items, Import or nuke marker-based items, Import wired power connections, Restore snapped power connections.

step 9: Click on 'Import Red Rocket Truck Stop by Sam Smith' (my character name at the time I made this)

Step 10: After the settlement has loaded you need to give the cell time to load everything so fast travel far away somewhere else and wait/sleep for 2 - 3 days then travel back and you will be ready to enjoy your new home.

Notes: I placed the Fast travel target inside the front door however you will need to select it in workshop mode and either cancel the selection or place it again for it to work.  Also, the ground floor is a bit sparse on decoration due to a placement bug I had at first. I solved the bug but never got around to finishing the decoration of the first floor. Use your own imagination there.  (note added a few new things in 1.0a)

Power and lighting: I used the 'timer power switch' by a1a3a6a9 http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10750/? along with vault power conduits and a mod to increase conduit range http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16879/? and placed both the switch and the conduits under the front deck using the TLC command. By default, the lights will come on at night and during a storm, however, if you download the timer power switch mod you can modify when the power is on or off. I also placed a couple of powered switches inside the house near essential items such as a Nuka fridge that makes drinks ice cold and a working gamers terminal (for playing holotape games) so that I could turn these items on at will.

Defense: I have placed a couple of Mk22 turrets from the mod 'WH-Mk.22 Heavy Machinegun REDUX' by Skibadaa at the only entrance to the settlement and modified those turrets to not require power, however you may want to scrap those and use your own turrets or if you don't have that mod just place your own turrets on top of the pillars by the exit. (replaced these with Vanilla heavy machinegun Turrets in 1.0a)

Because of this build's reliance on F4SE, a third-party program, this will not be available for consoles. Sorry.
