Fallout 4

About this mod

While searching the grounds of Parsons State Insane Asylum, you find a locker. When you go to loot it, you realize it sounds... hollow. Pushing on the back panel, you enter the abandoned aquatic facility which was closed down before the war even began.

After the war, it became home to a woman named Frieda, a patient at Parsons State.

(The idea for this mod came from the newest season of OITNB. If you've seen it, you'll know why. Orange is the New Bunker... heh. Also, please read the notes below for important information.)While searching the grounds of Parsons State Insane Asylum, you find a locker. When you go to loot it, you realize it sounds... hollow. Pushing on the back panel, you enter the abandoned aquatic facility which was closed down before the war even began.

After the war, it became home to a woman named Frieda, a patient at Parsons State. You can read her terminal entries and discover her story, then turn her hideout into a secure and wonderful new settlement!

----------NOTES-----------

-I highly recommend doing the Cabot House quest before coming here. It won't disrupt the quest or anything, but you'll have to fight through or sneak past a lot of mercenaries. Once you discover the location, you can fast travel directly into the interior (and fast travel out as well).

-I added enough of a back story to make the place fit in the world. It's still rather luxurious by wasteland standards, but it weaves itself into the lore pretty well. Semi-immersive/lore friendly, I'd call it.

-I noticed that settlers take a really long time to show up here. Like, I had to wait for about 3 days. I also found that they wouldn't show up for even longer if I didn't place some plants down for food, hence the planters and some starter produce in the workbench. If you still can't get them to show up, let me know, but be patient. They should show up.

-Some items can't be scrapped without extra mods, so I added welcome mats below them. Scrap the rug, scrap the object. Be careful and quick save before scrapping or moving them in case you regret it.

-If you want to remove the corpse, just click the broom. If you want to remove the water/purifier, click the valve. They will come back if you activate them again.

-There are light controls directly inside the door to the main room, and inside the side room on the right. They give you alternate lighting options. Sometimes you have to hit it twice before it starts working right. it's an old building, give it a break.

-I included a scaled down water purifier, a fuse box with 999 power, some planters along the wall, and every kind of crafting station. I also placed miniature power conduits along the walls. Just connect the wires! (Warning: If you store the conduits or the purifier, they won't be teeny anymore.) Also, entering the showers in the locker room on the left as you enter will remove all your rads. Because that's how radiation works.

-Companions are absolutely allowed here, and to keep Dogmeat's adorable, wagging tail from knocking over everything on the shelves, I've disabled their movement. The pretty decorations will stay pretty. You can still take them just fine if that's what you're about, though. You do you.

-There is a secret room inside this secret bunker. Find it. Oh, and enjoy the mod!
