Ven's Feral Dog Replacer.

I got tired of looking at the mummified feral and vicious dogs but couldn't find a retexture for them, so I made my own using the raider dog mesh and variations on textures from the base game.

This mod replaces the mesh for the ghoul-like feral dogs with Bethesda's Raider Dog mesh and replaces the 6 ghouly dog textures with the 2 original raider dog colors and 4 re-colored versions. I also made a raider dog version of the vicious dog glow map so the glowy ones will still spawn without looking too weird. (maybe a little weird, this is my first try at a glow map.)

Except for the new colors, this is vanilla Bethesda stuff.

If you find them too cute to kill there's a mod for that. No More Dead Dogs makes all hostile dogs "ignore the shit out of you".

As requested, I've also uploaded a file to add Ghoul Dogs to the world, so you can still find creepy mummified dogs in areas with high background radiation!

Some other (way more) talented folks have made other Commonwealth creatures much prettier, check them out!

Change log:
Version 3 - I didn't notice there was a load screen dog. He uses the old feral dog mesh, so using my textures causes him to look really messed up. I'm not good at making new meshes, so as a quick fix he now uses his original ghouly dog mesh with the Cassidy texture I made for my ghoul dogs mod.  He won't be cute, but won't look completely wonky at least :)

Version 2 adds some meshes I overlooked when making version 1. I haven't seen these while playing the game, but they are marked in the creation kit as being used somewhere, so I added them to the mod. If you find another dog I missed (the textures will look really messed up) please post it in the bugs section! Thanks!

Conflicts:
This will overwrite anything that changes the ViciousDog and ViciousDogPackLeader meshes, or the textures in the Textures/Actors/ViciousDog folder; including the glow maps for the glowing dogs that sometimes spawn. Other than that it just replaces the mesh, no scripts or esp to conflict with anything.

Installation:
1: Enable modding -instructions here-
2: Drop the Meshes and Textures folders into your Fallout4 Data Folder.

To Uninstall:
Delete the ViciousDog folder from Meshes/Actors and Textures/Actors and they will revert to vanilla ghoul dogs.
