Enables you to craft Enhanced, Advanced & Ultimate Combat Armor modifications, which provides a boost to the Damage, Energy, & Radiation Resistances of Combat Armor. Ultimate Combat Armor boosts resistances to the protection level of T60 PA and is a true alternative to Power Armor in the end-game. Available for several different factions.

What this Mod does:

This mod provides you with an alternative option to Power Armor in the game. It enables you to craft modifications for Combat Armor, which provides a substantial boost to the Damage-, Energy-, & Radiation Resistances of Combat Armor, so that it becomes equivalent to that of Power Armor.

It comes in three variations Enhanced, Advanced and Ultimate, which
allows you to scale Combat Armor resistances up to the levels you want to play at.

Ultimate Combat Armor truly boosts the resistances Of Combat Armor up to the protection level of T60 Power Armor, and is a true alternative to Power Armor in the end-game.

Available for different factions.



Version 1.1


Minutemen and the Brotherhood of Steel

This mod option provides all three Combat Armor modification options (Enhanced, Advanced and Ultimate) in a single file and is available for two factions in their respective color schemes and decals, namely the Minutemen and the Brotherhood of Steel.

The Enhanced Combat Armor mod is for players from beginner to mid-game levels (you can craft it as soon as you have combat armor available in your inventory and have the Rank 2 Armorer Perk unlocked).

You do not already need to be a member of the mentioned factions to be able to craft Enhanced Combat Armor (you should know where your alliances will lie already and therefore you will be able to craft and wear aspirant Minuteman or BOS membership armor from the beginning without first having to join the factions). This applies to Enhanced Combat Armor only – for Advanced and Ultimate Combat Armor you need to be full member of the respective factions.

The Advanced and Ultimate Combat Armor mods are for players from mid-game to end-game levels (you can craft it if you have combat armor available, Rank 2 Armorer Perk, and have fully joined the faction).

For the Minutemen version you need to have completed Old Guns and for the Brotherhood of Steel version you need to have completed Tour of Duty and promoted to Knight by Elder Maxson. (As soon as you have unlocked the Advanced & Ultimate Combat Armor modification you will no longer be able to craft the Enhanced Combat Armor version).

The Minutemen and the Brotherhood of Steel Combat Armor modification add the following stats to each of your existing combat armor pieces (when you add the mod using the armor workbench):

Enhanced: +75 Damage Resistance    +75 Energy Resistance, and   +75 Radiation Resistance
Advanced: +150 Damage Resistance,
+150 Energy Resistance, and +150 Radiation Resistance
Ultimate:   +250 Damage Resistance, +250 Energy Resistance, and +250 Radiation Resistance

It will also add the faction color-scheme & decal of your chosen faction to the combat armor piece.

The Ultimate Combat Armor mod truly boosts Combat Armor resistances to the level of T60 Power Armor and provides a viable Combat Armor alternative to wearing Power Armor in the end-game. If you apply the Ultimate mod to all six pieces of Combat Armor at the Armor Workbench (including the Combat Helmet) your Damage-, Energy-, and Radiation Resistances will be boosted with +1500 of each type of resistance.



Version 1.2


Army Combat Armor Mod

This mod option provides all three Combat Armor modification options (Enhanced, Advanced and Ultimate) in a single file with a new US Army-olive color scheme and decals. This mod is faction independent for those players who do not necessarily wish to play as Minuteman or BOS.

The Army Enhanced Combat Armor modification can be crafted at the beginning of the game without any restrictions.

For balancing purposes the Army Advanced and Army Ultimate Combat Armor modification will be gated behind the completion of a main story-line mission, namely gaining access to Diamond City. You will be able to craft it, if you have combat armor available in your inventory, Rank 2 Armorer Perk, and have gained access to Diamond City
.

Enhanced: +75 Damage Resistance,   +75 Energy Resistance, and   +75 Radiation Resistance

Version 1.3

Special Forces Armor Mod

This mod option provides all three Combat Armor modification options (Enhanced, Advanced and Ultimate) in a single file with a new winterized Special Forces color scheme. This mod is faction-independent, for those players who do not necessarily wish to play as Minuteman or BOS.

The Special Forces Enhanced Combat Armor modification can be crafted at the beginning of the game without any restrictions.

For balancing purposes the Special Forces Advanced and Special Forces Ultimate Combat Armor modification will be gated behind the completion of a main story-line mission, namely gaining access to Diamond City. You will be able to craft it, if you have combat armor available in your inventory, Rank 2 Armorer Perk, and have gained access to Diamond City
.

The Special Forces Ultimate Combat Armor mod truly boosts Combat Armor resistances to the level of T60 Power Armor and provides a viable Combat Armor alternative to wearing Power Armor in the end-game.  If you apply apply the Ultimate mod all six pieces of Combat Armor at the Armor Workbench (including the Combat Helmet) your Damage-, Energy-, and Radiation Resistances will be boosted with +1500 of each type of resistance.



Compatibility:

This standalone mod just adds a new mod option to Combat Armor at the workbench and has been tested and should be compatible with just about any other Combat Armor mod out there. Compatibility tested:

Also note that you can craft all these armor modifications and manually equip this on yourself, or any of your companions, or settlers, but since it adds a unique craft-able modification to the armor workbench, it will not affect the vanilla combat armor spawned in the game. You do not need to worry about encountering some Raider, or Gunner wearing this type of combat armor (with it’s boosted resistance stats) in the game.

This mod will work on all combat armor items (torso, arm, leg and helmet) and all variants of the combat armor (light-, sturdy-, and heavy).

Installation:


Extract the contents of the zip file to your /Fallout 4/Data folder. Launch the game with a mod manager such as the NMM.


Mod Author Notes:

I have added an optional file, Ultimate Power Armor, because of several PM requests, that truly boosts Combat Armor resistances to that of power armor. It will add 1500 resistance to ballistic, energy and radiation damage types - if all six pieces are modded. For balancing purposes, I wanted to impose a level restriction of, say level 40, but decided against it, as you have access to T60 power armor at level 26. So, I left the gated access restriction at the level of Advanced Combat Armor (fully join the two factions - which will happen in the level 20-30 anyway).


Future Plans for this mod?


Based on some requests received, I am currently working on a stand-alone optional file for Standard Combat Armor that will boost all combat armor in the
game including those spawning on Raiders and Gunners to the levels of Enhanced, Advanced and Ultimate combat armor.
