I finally found the file missing for the laser texture, expect more beam and weapon colour variants in the near future.Laser Weapons Reskin
I was playing with the game's weapon colors(i really think they should have done something with the weapons similar to the armor color customization) and this came out, I tried it and liked it better than the default weapon skin. So there you go, if you like this better too, i hope you enjoy it.
Be mindful that this will also affect to the laser musket cannon. Also, if you download the cartridge optional mod, this will change the look of every laser cartridge in the game
Weapon color variants:
- Grey base with blue accents and orange cables ->Optional blue cartridge file
- Dark red base with black accents and dark red cables(request by Maxen2 through comment section) ->Optional red cartridge file
- Black base with green accents and green cables(request by Noshe300 through comment section) ->Optional green cartridge file
- Green beam color
- Blue beam color
- Black wood musket stock optional file
To do:
- Create more weapon color variants(leave suggestions on the comments)
- Download the .zip file of your preference
- Extract the folder "Textures" to your Fallout 4 Data folder. Usually it is
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout
4\Data\textures"
- Open your Fallout4.ini file located in C:\Users\Garnet\Documents\My Games\Fallout4
- Change the line ''sResourceDataDirsFinal*STRINGS\'' to ''sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\, INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\,
LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\'' - Save the .ini file and close the file
I will probably be tinkering with other weapon's skins until the release of the 2016 tools, so stay tuned to my account for them.
