Restricts VATS to energy weapons and powered armour to add a little immersion to, what I think, is the most immersion breaking feature of Fallout 4.

I remember roaming my heavily modded Wasteland of New Vegas a few years back, an experience that was always far too difficult and always short lived. I would spend hours on single encounters due to the difficulty that my mods had added. When I finally...finally overcame the odds, and emerged victorious, my excitement and sense of achievement would dwindle very suddenly when I realized that it was VATS that had saved me, not my skill. Soon enough, I realized that all these encounters went the same way. VATS was more like a bad habit you retreat to when you're desperate, and it has always felt this way to me. That's where a little mod called Immersive VATS came in.

'VATS - Now Immersive' is a very simple mod, inspired by Greslin's Immersive VATS for Fallout New Vegas (THANKS GRESLIN!!), that restricts VATS to energy based weapons and powered armor. This restriction, like Greslin's mod, is due to the idea that only high tier or electronically complex items, like energy weapons or power armor, would have the technology to handle a system such as VATS. I do not find it plausible that the Pip Boy can do all this by itself.

In its current form, it has the depth of a small puddle, as it is my first ever attempt at modding and my skills are very limited.

Currently, no VATS stats are changed (such as range or accuracy), and I haven't altered or adjusted any perks. The mod simply enables or disables VATS based on the weapons/armor the player has equipped.

To install, just download and install it through a mod manager (I use Mod Organizer 2, but Nexus Mod Manager is probably simpler)

Future plans/ideas:
Non energy weapons are VATS enabled when powered armor is equipped, but in the future I want to add VATS range and accuracy penalties to these circumstances. These penalties will be able to be nullified with weapon mods that integrate the weapon into the Pip Boy's VATS system. These mods will add basic VATS mode to non energy based weapons, even without powered armor, but such armor will enhance the VATS capabilities of these weapons. These mods would appear visually on the weapon, with lots of circuitry and wiring and the like.

Thank you, everyone. I hope this mod helps someone out there that dislikes VATS as much as me.

As I said before, this is my first mod so please let me know if there's anything I've done wrong, or if the mod is causing any issues. I've tested it in my current play through and I've had no issues what so ever. Also, please feel free to share any ideas or suggestions for the mod, I'm keen to learn and would like to hear your guy's opinions and ideas.
