What is this “Stereoscopic Resources” thing?

This is not a Fallout 4 mod; it is just a download of, and links to, resources you may find useful if you wish to game stereoscopically. Plus a few (VERY few) tips and some screen-shots for those with stereoscopic displays so you can see what to expect.

Version .2 (really this time) - Updated to reflect recent SuperDepth3D changes. (For more info see sticky note).

- Note that you can now use vorpX to play FO4 (and other Fallouts) in VR, including stereoscopically. vorpX also supports stereoscopy outside of VR HMDs. So if you have a traditional 3D display you can try vorpX. However, I have not found vorpX to be nearly as mature at this point as TriDef was in terms of handling shadows, light sources, etc. Thus you must often resort to Z3D (z-buffer 3D mode) rather than G3D (geometry 3D mode). In such cases you might try SuperDepth3D instead (see below).

- Updated Sticky Post to include a couple useful links and added some screenshots taken in other 3D formats and with different software, rather than only having SuperDepth3D in Top & Bottom mode represented (see first post).

Lengthy "wall-of-text" is included in the download (and in the "ReadMe" section here.)

UPDATE: BSD is hard at work on his SuperDepth3D shader and it's looking better all the time. It is currently at v.1.9.8 with an experimental v.1.9.9 included. It remains my go-to for this game as performance is excellent and the 3D is quite good, especially with the 1.9.9 update. I'll be adding a number of screenshots taken when running the new 1.9.9 version so you can see how it looks.

Or, if you just want to jump right in, the TLDR Version:

Look at these:

SuperDepth3D (Z3D solution that is very fast and produces good results for Z3D, but until Crossire can be talked into allowing ReShade to allow depth-buffer detection during online activity this will be disabled anytime the game you are using it with access a network. So it's great for single player games like FO4, but not for anything that requires a network.)

TriDef (TriDef is now out of business. Leaving the link in case they ever return. So far no other tool available does quite what TriDef did.)

vorpX (Kind of like a more recent TriDef-type of product, but also adds VR functions. Works pretty well in a lot of titles but be prepared for lots of setup and tweaking. Has issues with light sources and shadows in G3D mode in many titles. Still, when it works well it's great. FO3 is absolutely fantastic through vorpX, for example.)
